MafiaMan Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Hmnnn...for those thinking UNO will roll over GVSU...that CWU score is surprising, eh? Quote
UND92,96 Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Hmnnn...for those thinking UNO will roll over GVSU...that CWU score is surprising, eh? Well, I guess it IS the playoffs, and UNO is still coached by Pat "Regular Season" Behrns... Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Hmnnn...for those thinking UNO will roll over GVSU...that CWU score is surprising, eh? The key word to this is "on paper". But games aren't played on paper. And Behrns-coached teams aren't very effective in the playoffs, either. If they don't have the talent to make a run to Florence this year, when will they? Quote
BigGame Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Hmnnn...for those thinking UNO will roll over GVSU...that CWU score is surprising, eh? I'm not that surprised I thought it would be close but with more points. CWU had a very poor game the first time around with UNO, I think they game up 2 or 3 special teams TD's. Quote

If they don't have the talent to make a run to Florence this year, when will they? They have the talent, they just always seem to underperform in the playoffs. Maybe if they get the monkey off their back today, they can relax and get back on track for the rest of the playoffs. Quote
UND92,96 Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Here's the UND-GVSU box score. The rushing and rushing defense numbers are really ugly for the Sioux. And remember, GVSU was giving up more than 150 yards per game on the ground on average. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 100 yard kickoff return for touchdown for Central Washington?!?! 2:49 left, it ain't over yet! Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 PAT good, unsportsmanlike conduct on UNO. Will be assessed on the kickoff. Mavs are imploding in the playoffs. Again. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 UNO starts 1st and 10 on their own 13 with 2:43 left in the game. Quote
UND92,96 Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 McNeill and Miller have combined for just 59 rushing yards today! Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Zach Miller is INTERCEPTED at the UNO 30 yard line. First and 10 Wildcats!!! Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 First down CWU at the UNO 18. I can't say I am surprised at this. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 First down CWU at the UNO 18. I can't say I am surprised at this. Damn, I really thought this was the year UNO wouldn't self destruct in the playoffs. Quote
UND92,96 Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 I almost feel sorry for Pat Behrns right now. I never thought I'd say that. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 TOUCHDOWN CENTRAL WASHINGTON!!! Mike Reilly to Johnny Spevak. PAT pending. 1:36 left. Quote

And remember, GVSU was giving up more than 150 yards per game on the ground on average. I would expect nothing less. On offense, for whatever reason, we never even made an attempt to establish the run. Murray was effective when given the opportunity, Battle never saw the field. Apparently the game plan was, just bide our time until we have the wind at our back, then throw 2 yard slants. Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 TD CWU! Listening to the Omaha guys now. 20-17, missed the PAT! Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 PAT no good. It remains 20-17 CWU with 1:36 left in the game. Can Miller drive it down the field? I don't think he is good enough as a passer. Quote

Yes, I'm at a loss to explain why we didn't make more of an attempt to run the ball. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 UNO at their own 47. 3rd and 3 coming up. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 First down UNO at the CWU 39. UNO has all 3 timeouts left. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Zach Miller rushes for 7 yards to the CWU 32. Timeout Omaha. 0:57 left. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Zach Miller sacked for loss of 4 yards to the CWU 36. Timeout Nebraska-Omaha, 00:50 left. Quote
