iramurphy
Agree, it wasn't much of a hit at all. The problem is that Radke got schooled by Johnson on this one. I'm not going to be too harsh on Radke even though he is not the sharpest tool in the box. You need guys like Radke to get some energy going once in while. Not everybody can be a power play specialist. I think you see what happens when that's all you've got ,i.e., gophers. Johnson has obviously done something similiar to this before based on his reaction. Don't know what Lucia said to him or if someone at the USNDP taught them this but he definitely played it up for the ref. I'm glad he lost as a result. It was called correctly by the ref and it should have been called. It was a terrible penalty. It could have cost us the game! No excuse for it and college players must be more disciplined than that especially leading 2-1 in the regional finals. If he isn't dressed for the FF that would be the reason. Over the course of the year we do take too many undisciplined penalties. We can't do that in the FF and get away with it. We were lucky and the kids did a heck of a job on penalty kill. PCM
Did Radke get a game DQ? No. Radke was given a game misconduct, which means that he can play against BC.

Frontroguy
What I thought was great was when Johnson milked it and looked up for the call. It was such crap. I definitely think it should have been called, but for a just a shove... I don't know. Watching Johnson after the call pissed me off more than anything. Sooo glad they killed that one off, nothing like a little momentum. I don't think he milked it. I think he was running out of gas from chasing the Sioux all over the rink.... Stack
No. Radke was given a game misconduct, which means that he can play against BC. Thanks.
Sioux_Hab-it
I don't think he milked it. I think he was running out of gas from chasing the Sioux all over the rink.... And I guess the smirk once he got back on the bench was merely a pained grimace as he tried to gasp for air. Right
NDviaEP
I'd be happy too if my opponents just got called for a 5 minute major! Also, whether I embellished or not, I'd still look to the ref to see if the guy who hit me in the back got called for a penalty. Let's be realistic people... mikejm
Judging from his actions on the bench after Radke's hit, there's no question Johnson milked it. But before we cast aspersion his way, keep in mind that our #1 goaltender is a world-class milker as well. I sit right behind Phil and have seen him winking, laughing and giving little hand signals to the training staff while he's lying on the ice "stunned" from a hit. I'm just sayin'
