siouxnami Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 how good is dave??? Hakstall? Vhat? Quote
cujo2 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 how good is dave??? That is a hell of a question. No doubt he had big shoes to fill following Blais. I think it is too early in his career to answer that question. No doubt he is one of the upper echelon coaches in college hockey. If he stays 10 years and wins a couple of national titles he will go down as one of the great's similar to Blais & Gasparini. If he stays and does not win any titiles he will be remembered as UND's version of Doug Woog. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 what a thread.. uhhhh, he has been the head coach of the sioux for 2 years and he has gotten to 2 frozen fours and 1 title game? pretty good to me. Quote

Sioux-cia Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Hakstall? He's a coach? If what AZSIOUX posted is true, he sounds like a damn good one!! Quote
The Whistler Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Fire his arse! With the talent he has the Sioux should be undefeated! We should be invited as the first amateur team to compete for Lord Stanley's cup for a long long time. Those NHL teams don't have nothing on us. Quote
proudsioux Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Remember, he still has some of blaise's players on his team so we wil find out in the next couple years how good he is. Quote
The Whistler Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Remember, he still has some of blaise's players on his team Is that why he couldn't win the big one? (Just noting that there's two sides to that coin) Quote
proudsioux Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 could be that his players are holding blaises players back form winning the big one. oh yeh redwing the fire his arse...i was drunk when i made that topic.. Quote
Blackheart Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Dave's a killer! Dave's a mess... --Slapshot Quote

I could be mistaken but I believe Hak personally recruited Porter, and Foyt was a walk on, so I am assuming you mean Fabian. Quote

Wasn't Hakstol principal recruiter for most of the defense? Like Smaby, Greene, Jones, etc? Still, players holding teammates back... wow. I'd love to see the proof on that one. Quote
