Siouxfan_inDenver Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 I say we take up a collection and send a grinder kit via fed ex (not kfed ex) to UNDintheNHL I was gonna get one of them kits sent to me in Denver, but shipping was outrageous, 36 bucks. I'll wait till I come home in May, and make a trip to Forks just to get a grinder. Quote

If it was the 2005 WSOP it was a guy named Randy McCay, originally from ND, but lives in AZ. I believe he took out Mimi Rogers. There is a little blurb about it HERE Quote
Siouxmama Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Day 2 2:20AM - Day 2 is officially over, we are now down to 620 players. Phil Hellmuth, Jr. busted out. Sammy Farha is now among the overall chip leaders. Mitch Schock is still alive, which is quite an accomplishment considering after 15 hours of play he never hit a set or a straight even once. He is short-stacked at $11,125 but is in good spirits. Mimi Rogers is gone. We noticed a player wearing a Fighting Sioux hockey jersey, Randy McCay, originally from Finley, now living in Arizona. Another local player, Jennifer Spies, (won her seat in Hankinson) is also playing today and is still alive with around $20,000 in chips. This is what I found in the article. I dont know how to put it into a blue 'quote' square though. Quote
drone Posted January 30, 2007 Posted January 30, 2007 Mitch Schock is also from North Dakota. He is originally from Carson and now lives in Bismark. He attended UND for a couple of years back in the early 90's. Quote
NoiseInsideMyHead Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Sioux hockey fans can certainly appreciate the angst of WSOP Main Event fans...ESPN sticking with women's softball right to the bloody end tonight. At least they held up the start of poker. Quote
NoiseInsideMyHead Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 MODS - can you please move this thread to Non-Collegiate Sports? Thanks! (and sorry) Quote
burd Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 My cousin, Huck Seed, who won it sometime in the 90s, has grandparent roots in Bottineau and Minot, but I'm not sure Huck ever set foot in GF. Quote
