CoteauRinkRat Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 According to several reports, the Vikings have released John Bowenkamp. http://vikings.kfan.com/sports/nflguide/lo...39-508F4774ADE3 Quote
airmail Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Too bad for JB, but I must say... he went much farther than I would have ever expected. He should be very proud of his accomplishments! Quote
DAR Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Not a surprise, although it would have been good if he could have earned a spot on the practice squad. I am sure the speed of the game between division II and the NFL was like night and day, that is a big adjustment to have to make. Quote
kupe_33 Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 I talked to his agent about a week ago and it looked like JB was going to be on the practice squad this year and then battle for a spot next year because Brad Johnson's contract was up and they aren't happy with Shawn Hill's progression. That's too bad...he may get another opportunity with another squad. Quote

I kind of doubt that is what will happen considering John didn't get much PT during the first couple of preseason games. Quote
Goon Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 I hope we see him on the practice roster. He probably has a good chance of making it. Quote
