sioux rube Posted May 19 Posted May 19 The Leafs should honestly be ashamed of themselves. Contrasting this with the Jets last night... Winnipeg fought with every ounce of their being, with their top man playing in absolute anguish. Meanwhile, the Loafs looked like they were taking part in an optional morning skate 1 Quote

.357 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 It takes a special group of determined players to succeed in Toronto come the playoffs. Players who are both physically talented & mentally strong, because having the former without the latter isn't enough in that city. That theory played out last night. Berube is more than competent, but it would probably take the coaching genius of a Scotty Bowman type on their bench to manage all those entitled personalities like Bowman did in Montreal. Outhustled & outgritted with a defenseman & an aging journeyman forward leading the way for Florida. Can imagine Smaby next year trying to get the defensemen to play like Seth Jones did in Game 7. The Sicatoka Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Only one of the Toronto core group I'd want is Nylander; he shows some heart once in a while. You can have 16, 34, and 44. 1 Quote

siouxfaninseattle Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Nice bounce back win for Edmonton tonight. Skinner with a 3-0 shutout. Quote
sioux rube Posted Saturday at 01:09 PM Posted Saturday at 01:09 PM Oilers Skinner with his third shutout of these playoffs. If it’s not a shutout it’s a 5 plus goals a game allowed. Crazy Also the fourth time the Stars have been shutout this post season Quote

siouxfaninseattle Posted Monday at 02:35 AM Posted Monday at 02:35 AM Good game by Edmonton - convincing 6-1 win. Dallas played a pretty good second period but Skinner had another good game. Quote
