jimdahl Posted March 27, 2005 Author Posted March 27, 2005 The remainder of last night's results are (finally) in. Not looking good for me.
redwing77 Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 I thought it was neat to read their picks. BC should have no problem beating UND to go in. In fact, they have the easiest path to the Frozen Four. Looks like BC got the same treatment we did last year... Except our defense showed up last year.
Smoggy Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 I like how ESPNU's studio analyst keeps picking the East teams to win. Oh wait he's from the east and coached in the east. I guees he did just pick Minny to save face.
#1siouxfan22 Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Cornell really screwed my bracket over they were suppose to lose to Ohio State.
dagies Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 The remainder of last night's results are (finally) in. Not looking good for me. My stock is rising!!
Air Force One Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 How are the brackets looking now? Those 1.6% on GPL that picked the Sioux look like geniuses now! Must not be UM graduates.
jimdahl Posted April 8, 2005 Author Posted April 8, 2005 As to how "realistic" SiouxSports.com fans' picks were (which drew a previous challenge from the Gopher crowd), the consensus picks have correctly called 13/14 games so far, the first miss being Denver's win yesterday. The SS.com picks correctly picked the entire Frozen Four field, and treated even the Gophers pretty fairly, having correctly picked them to advance to the FF where they got beat by the Sioux. The leaderboard is updated with a clear winner now coming into sight. Of the dozen or so who picked all games leading to the Frozen Four correctly, only AZSIOUX correctly picked UND and Denver to advance to the title game.
NDFAN Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 I don't mind being wrong on my predictions!! But why am I listed last when I'm tied with others???
elmduf Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 To anybody in Columbus, Find Jim.... sober him up.. .lend him your laptop or go to an internet cafe...get him to update the brackets and put the score of the Sioux/Rodents game in the hockey home section! Jeez...
bigmrg74 Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Thats just the way the thingy works. I think it might be something to do with the order in which people sent in their responces. If Jim's sober yet, he could tell you more about it.
jimdahl Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 Though a large number of Sioux fans predicted Denver over UND for the final, none of them had every previous game correct. In bracket scoring (in which each round is worth twice as much as the previous, making the title game as important as the entire first round): mynameiscuomo won with a nearly perfect bracket (only two misses, one in the first round, one in the second). In single-point per game scoring: Boomer40AA tied AZSOIUX by correctly picking the title game, while AZSIOUX missed it. Complete leaderboard
dagies Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I've moved up to 57th on bracket scoring. That's second round material. If I get the right offer, I might have to bolt early for the pros....
redwing77 Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 44/47 ranking for me. At least I did better than dagies
dagies Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Reminds me of school. I always have a lot of people to look up to!
