01grad Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Possibly my frustration is from how bad the Sioux are playing, but watching the Gopher/Badger game was really annoying listening to the stupid cheers that Wisconsin fans do during the course of the game. It was like watching and listening to a basketball game. It may be fun for their fans, but is really frustrating to listen to and watch as an outsider. I remember a past final five at the Target Center and they looked so stupid doing their idiotic cheers. I am not looking forward to the final five this year if the badgers and gophers are there with their bands. Anybody else feel this way about other teams and constantly hearing their stupid cheers, like the gophers "we always were" or "that's debatable". I like the way we cheered up at UND because we never overused a cheer and had other ways of just plain making noise to cheer on our team. Quote
Shawn-O Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Disagree about the UW crowd. I thought the crowd there was a hoot when we roadtripped out there in November. One of the best atmospheres in college puck. I agree with you about the stupid Goof cheers. Annoying as hell. Quote
Fedorov Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 The Badger students do a few stupid cheers, but they are the best student section in all of the WCHA and maybe all of college hockey. Quote

mksioux Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 The may not be the brightest in terms of hockey intelligence, but they know how to cheer and they have the best atmosphere in the WCHA, bar none. I've had a great time every time I've made the trip to Madtown. Quote

01grad Posted February 6, 2005 Author Posted February 6, 2005 UND crowds have been known to throw a "that's debatable" in there every know and then in the past few years. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> With most of the die hards out of the lower bowl, no and then is more like sometimes and periodically. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Quote
johnsowe Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 At least they have people that cheer during the player intros and the game not like the crowd at the UND DU game on sat. It was sad. Quote
