Marty
I don't know what the unwritten code of pulling the goalie is but isn't it pretty much a no brainer to pull him when you're on a power play? These announcers are a couple of homers.

redwing77
Missed an open net. Wow. That's like, what, 6 times? We win, but wow. 3-2 win by the Sioux. Lots of penalties. ANOTHER missed open net. End score SHOULD read 4-2. Oh well. We won.
Sioux_Hab-it
Unofficial shots are 35-20 in favor of the Sioux. Their goalie gave them a chance to win. Thank goodness for the penalty killing of McMahon and Prpich
siouxnami
Yeah we win , but what a boring game and what a terrible crowd. It certainly sounded like the Sioux were the better team tonight though.
CoteauRinkRat
Good win for the Sioux, It was one we needed to have and found a way to win it.
Marty
At least we won. The Sioux could not afford to lose this game. After that long break it is a given that a team will be rusty, and I think that Mankato is an underrated team. Good goaltending and solid defense is what they have. The Sioux must improve by leaps and bounds in the coming weeks. It's not early in the season anymore. In the next few weeks the Sioux must be at their peak. It's time to kick it up a notch. dagies
Redwing, if I heard the same open net miss I think McMahon was clearing that from his own end, so I don't think that's quite so bad. Good win for the Sioux. The PP was about 30%. We'll take that! Sioux put a lot of shots on the opponent. That's good. Lammy played well. That's good Defense limited a tough Mankato team to 20 shots. That's good. Lots of good in this game. Just gotta get a couple more by the goalie. Let's finish the sweep tomorrow boys!
Sioux_Hab-it
They cut the internet feed so I didn't get to hear all of the post game. Murray was rather flat tonight so maybe he will have one of his big games tomorrow.

PCM
Redwing, if I heard the same open net miss I think McMahon was clearing that from his own end, so I don't think that's quite so bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You're right. McMahon was quite deep in the Sioux zone when he cleared the puck. I don't think he was intending to score. The only reason the puck came close to going in was because it was skittering and bouncing around.

Goon
With the new year, it appears obstruction is back in style. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think that would be an accurate statement, however, they did call the Mavs for a few of these types of penalties. UND looked pretty good on the power play tonight too. That would seem to be a positive.
CoteauRinkRat
I think they need to do passing drills on bad ice to help them corral bouncing pucks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have you ever played hockey?
redwing77
Have you ever played hockey? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Admittedly no, but it seems like it is disproportionate on how many whiffs we are getting compared to other teams in the top 5 of the WCHA. I'm sure it is my frustration showing through.
