jdub27 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Who is on UND's Mount Rushmore for basketball? Jackson, Guldseth, Vonesh are the three that come to mind immediately. Not sure on the 4th one: -Haaven if you go back to the 50's but -I'm guessing there are a few older ones than that worth considering -Could throw a coach on there (Gunther/Fitch) -Huff is definitely making a case for the level of competition he plays against -Chad Mustard was a standout player -Beasley only played two years but his impact was huge. Guessing I missed a few obvious ones as well. Quote
UND Fan Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Who is on UND's Mount Rushmore for basketball? If you are only looking for four, mine would be: Phil Jackson Scott Guldseth Dave Vonesh Jerome Beasley Others in consideration (in no particular order): Chris Fahrbach Don Augustine Chuck Wolfe Jon Haaven Tom Nesbitt Chris Fahrbach Troy Huff Mount Rushmore of Excitement: Scott Guldseth Troy Huff Travis Tuttle Jerome Beasley Quote
bincitysioux Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I think Huff would have to be on it. I believe he is top 10 all time at North Dakota now in scoring, rebounding, and steals. And he's done it against much tougher competetion than Guldseth or Beasley. I would say: Jackson Guldseth Huff ? I'd probably go with Vonesh for the fourth spot. Quote
UNDsportsFANATIC Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 I agree Bin. He has done it against the division 1 competition. Has to be on the mount rushmore. Huff actually impressive career, when you look back. Quote

Agree with your four...including Vonesh. Gulseth IMO was best player I have seen in a UND jersey. Quote
sprig Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 Where are the old guys? Ray Jones, Eaglestaff, Gunhus (sp?), other names I can't remember. Quote
