MafiaMan
The Olympics in Nazi Germany in 1936? No problem. Judges giving low scores to members of countries they are "against"? Happened all the time. "Amateur" athletes who really were members of the army competing in the games? You bet. But how dare the United States women's hockey goalie wear a mask with some words from the Constitution of the United States on it! This cannot be tolerated! http://ingoalmag.com/masks/ioc-rules-force-vetter-change-u-s-olympic-mask/
fightingsioux4life
The Olympics in Nazi Germany in 1936? No problem. And don't forget Beijing 2008 and Russia 2014. What's next, having the Olympics in Tehran to promote "engagement"? Not rewarding despotic regimes should rank much higher on the priority list of the IOC than what a goaltender puts on his/her own mask. The committee also rejected a one-minute moment of silence at the 2012 London games in memory of the Israeli athletes murdered in Munich in 1972...for fear that Arab nations would boycott the opening ceremonies. Yep, no politics or "our country is better than your country" feelings at the Olympics. Riiiiight.

keikla
The Slovakia hockey jerseys have the words of their national anthem on them (the thin stripes are actually the words written very small). How is that ok but 'We the People' isn't?
