SWSiouxMN Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 a tough road swing to the Montana schools is on tap this week for the UND bball team. They start their voyage in Bozeman as they take on Montana State. A very crucial game for both squads. Montana State has a chance to put some distance on UND and for a top 4 seed in the conference tourney. UND has a chance to get a nice road win and more importantly have a tiebreak over MSU. Other Big Sky games on Thurs SUU (7-5) @ ISU (3-9) UNC (4-8) @ MONT(12-0) EWU (4-8) @ Sac St (5-7) PSU (3-9) @ NAU (5-7) Quote
darell1976 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 With only 8 that's right....EIGHT conference games left we need to come away with big wins and sweeping the Montana's would be a great start! Quote

sioux2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Dont know how many players we will have for this trip. I believe Archer is out again with his ankle and the status of Schuler is unknown as I recall the last game he left the floor several times for the training room. It appeared it was his back the way he was re-acting on the floor. From what I heard Schuler has not practiced in the past couple of days. Hopefully he can play and if not we would basically be down to 8 players and Brekke is far from being fully conditioned. The cloud continues to follow this team this year. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 1 glaring concern that I have coming in is that the last 2 games have not been good for us at the free throw line. I am hoping this is just a small blip on the radar and this is not starting to become a trend at the line once again. Quote
sioux2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Just confirmed on the radio broadcast Schuler and Archer are out. This will be tough. Quote
sioux2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Why is allard starting? Cause Schuler is out and he is the only 4 left that is suited up. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 9-2 run forces a MSU timeout at which they come out and get a lay up 18-16 MSU Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Huff already with double digits, with 11 UND 22 MSU 21 Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Benton was way out of control on that drive. MSU 23 UND 22 MSU turnover the other way Quote

SWSiouxMN Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Half MSU 34 UND 31 Big time steal by Huff and finish to end the half. Looked good and shaky at times, but Brekke needs to stop fouling to give us some post help. Quote
bincitysioux Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 It got kind of sloppy the last 10 minutes of the half, but I'm actually quite pleased overall with where we are at halftime. Quote
bincitysioux Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 The all too common second half collapse appears to be in play....................... Quote
sioux2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Can Wilmer for once in his life box out a man. I have never seen him find his guy and box him out. He just runs under the rim and watches the guy behind him get the rebound. Bad start to the 2nd half. Lets re-group men. Quote
bincitysioux Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 37 North Dakota 48 Montana St 15:30 2nd half Quote
sioux2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Keep standing Benton under the basket. No body is guarding him all night underneath. Quote
