Just Curious

Recommended Posts

It says "0 warning points" under my name. Just curious as to why that is, as I don't see anything of the sort under other names, although I haven't checked them all. Thanks.

It says it under mine too and have been wondering about it as well. I'm guessing it's only something you can see on your own.

Guessing it's for moderator's to send warnings to a user when they are breaking the rules. My bet is you rack up enough warning "points" and you'll get get banned temporarily or something like that.

Yep, it's part of the moderation system. Forums with more formal moderation systems could use it to track infractions and change user statuses when they had accumulated a certain number of warning points. They way we moderate here we don't really track formal points, so the only way it will go up is if a mod contacts you for some reason, and there are no automatic status changes based on the points.

And, yes, you can only see your own.
