UND92,96 Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 It's a bloodbath out there, with Ole Miss, Kansas, Arizona St., Illinois, Memphis, UCLA, Colorado St., Washington St., UAB and Akron either having already fired their coaches this weekend, or being expected to shortly, along with possibly Tennessee and Texas A & M. But the all-time low may be Rob Ianello at Akron, who was fired. By phone. On the way to his mother's funeral. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 If Akron really did that, I guess I know why they call their teams the Zips. That's how much common sense they have: Zip. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 So do we add tOSU to this list as the guy who ran the team last season is being replaced by Urban Meyer? Quote
UND92,96 Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 So do we add tOSU to this list as the guy who ran the team last season is being replaced by Urban Meyer? Probably. I just didn't list them since it was a little different situation with an interim coach. For that matter, I suppose I could have listed Penn State too. Quote
Smoggy Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Sounds like Erickson will still coach the bowl game for ASU. Anyone heard on the situation with Neuheisel (sp?) at UCLA. Is he still coaching the the Pac 12 title game? And if so, could you imagine him winning it and gaining the BCS bid for the Pac 12? I believe they have to win it just to become bowl eligible. Quote

Neuheisel will still coach on Friday against the Ducks. IF, by some miracle, UCLA beat Oregon to go to the Rose Bowl, O-Coordinator Mike Johnson would take over for the bowl game. Quote
