mksioux Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 I hear that the local Anchorage station is televising the Saturday UND v. UAA game. Anyone know if it will be available on satellite for Joe Senser's to pick up the feed? Quote

iceberg Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 C-Band only Sensers would need a DVB receiver hooked to the C-Band for it to work. Quote

cheesemover Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 The station in anchorage is probably microwaving the signal back to the station. I can't pick up microwaves. I will make a call and find out. But most of their games never make it out of alaska on satellite . I'll check. Their needs to be a signal 1st so I can pick it up. Digital Satellite time averages about $5.00 a minute. Later Cheesemover By the way hockey this weekend at Joe Senser's Boston U vs Mass Ohio State vs Mich St UMD vs Denver CC vs Wisconsin Sat only Quote

A buddy of mine in Indiana has seen some of the games (the UAA/UMD one in November as an example) AMC7 (137W) 3880 H 25200 All 6 networks are on there from Anchorage (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, UPN) You should have no issues picking it up (unless theres a snowstorm in Anchorage) Quote
PSB Posted February 18, 2005 Author Posted February 18, 2005 A lot of folks still have a Big C-band dish just for the Anchorage local networks! I need to get one set up here for next season! Thanks Iceberg! Go Sioux! http://www.lyngsat.com/amc7.html Quote

iceberg Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Hopefully the FSSN signal holds up...but if it doesn't, the people who are motorized (or ghetto move them) might have to swing over to SBS6 SBS6 is where Wisconsin FSN games have been. Both games will be on there too I'll check coordinates tonight and post them (where they should be) Quote
iceberg Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 noticed the game will be on Dish channel 445 (not 446) Quote
cheesemover Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I think you have to pay for the Fox SPorts regional package in order to get 642. That means you will get all the FSN nationwide Later Quote

iceberg Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Any coords for FSNNa on SBS6 yet? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I scanned yesterday before and during the game on the normal spots and it never came up did have a 75 on the DirecPC dish for G3 Quote
DamStrait Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 I scanned yesterday before and during the game on the normal spots and it never came up did have a 75 on the DirecPC dish for G3 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah for once the signal quality was good AND steady throughout the whole game. I was looking for a backup as the signal quality has quite often degraded as the game went on. Quote
squirtcoach Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 everyone else getting good signal? I'm down to 51-52 quality which means plenty of pixelation It doesn't appear to be on 642 today either Quote
neoflex Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 At least datafilx is working.........for the first time this year!!! Quote
DamStrait Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Game is on FSNNa, as it is on SBS6. Very unstable signal, however. Quote
PSB Posted February 27, 2005 Author Posted February 27, 2005 Yes a wee bit lower Quality than yesterday....... also on the below for fans with a motor........ 11975/H/9000 on SBS 6... Quote
DamStrait Posted February 27, 2005 Posted February 27, 2005 Quality on FSSN (G3C) starting to drop. Hope it stabilizes and we can get thru the game. Quote
iceberg Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 That was real weird that the FSN Wisco feed was only 33-35. Normally it is 75-80 30" dish had 45 and never lost signal DirecPC had 75 Quote
