Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Merrimack ties it on a breakaway goal. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Sioux have gone to crap the last 8 minutes of the period. Quote
brianvf Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Is it possible to fire Hakstol during the intermission? Quote
redwing77 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Sioux have gone to crap the last 8 minutes of the period. I think Hak will enlighten them in the lockerroom. It's too bad though. This team should skate circles around Merrimack. Instead, we're just playing their game. 2nd Period will speak volumes. I'm optimistic that we'll stop playing soft and start playing Sioux hockey. WiSioux Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 What do you think the chances are that we can score as quickly in the second as we did in the first? Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 What do you think the chances are that we can score as quickly in the second as we did in the first? I think it all depends on what kind of hockey we play. Merrimack will have a lot higher confidence to start the 2nd, as they're thinking, "We can play with these guys." We just have to skate hard and use teammates. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Nice replay of the slew foot on LaPoint last year. Still makes me mad. Glad to see Derrick back though. Quote
sioux/bufan Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 This is starting look like a typical Merrimack game. Yikes!!! UND needs to score on the power play and don't give Merrimack chances to stay close. Let's go Sioux Quote
31-9 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Can't play down to your opponent. That's how Merrimack works their way into so many close games. Keep the foot on the pedal, don't get complacent. Cycle them to death, maintain puck possession, and they'll start taking penalties. That's how you beat Merrimack. Quote

Parise made a living off drawing penalties by never letting his feet stop, when he played at UND, but I bet you've never seen that before. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Blood....'Ah S*#@, I'm on a 2 on 1!' Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Merrimack PP, Too Many Men penalty on the Sioux. Let's go PK! Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Zajac with a point blank chance shorthanded. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 VANDE!!!! 3-2 4 on 2. Genoway leads out the rush. Cichy with a tip on net and Vande pounds home the rebound. Quote

Still making a living doing that. Cost him some teeth though. Seriously, the Sioux better pick it up or Parise and Zajac are never going to hear the end of it from the former hockey east players on the Devils. Hell, even Lou Lamoriello might rag on them; I'm pretty sure Merrimack was bad back when he was coaching college hockey. 3 - 2 Sioux, much better. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 4-2!!!!!!!! Knight!!!! Pass from Toews. Cichy also gets a helper. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 C'mon now boys. Don't let up the last 8 minutes of this period. Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 This is the David Toews we were all expecting. Quote
brianvf Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 C'mon now boys. Don't let up the last 8 minutes of this period. Exactly. Keep the pressure on. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Toews tries a shot from Duncan's opposite office. Not as much luck though. Quote
