Stromer
Maybe we'll be able to slow down Stony Brook? I thought the defense would be better this year. So much for that idea. I think it is. I think this game is the exception.

dlsiouxfan
Kelling is completely mystified right now. We can't stop their run or their pass and evidently didn't make a single adjustment at half time.
siouxhockeyfan11
another TD for the bad guys
Let'sGoHawks!
SFA appears to be an excellent team, we can't stop em!
fightingsioux4life
I think it is. I think this game is the exception. I hope you are right. I don't want to watch a repeat of last year on the defensive side of the ball.
fightingsioux4life
SFA appears to be an excellent team, we can't stop em! There are a lot of "excellent teams" in DI FCS and our schedule will be full of them in the coming years. We had better get some better athletes into the program during the next couple of years or we will have to get used to results like this. Let'sGoHawks!
Exactly right.... SFA is pretty average as far FCS teams go. I believe they are expected to challenge for the Southland Conf. title, but yeah, there are many teams with this sort of speed and skill in FCS. TechFirst
The guys may just be a little road-weary. Plus it's really humid down at SFA tonight and pretty warm, too.
fightingsioux4life
There's Mike Berg with his "this is a good football team we are playing" comment again. Coach, please tell us something we don't already know. I miss Tony Stein!

The Southland is a middle of the road FCS conference and almost never wins a playoff game though.

fightingsioux4life
Where is the pass rush??? The Kelling/Mannasau coaching duo has never been a big user of the pass rush. The defense hasn't really "gotten after it" (as Dale Lennon used to put it) since Tim Tibesar left town to take the job at Kansas State. We will have to put pressure on the QB at this level because the QB's at this level will eat you alive if you don't make them squirm a little. Shawn-O
2nd and 1....2nd and 13....it doesn't really seem to matter. Worst defense I've seen since I was in school there in the 80's.
fightingsioux4life
What? The defense forced SFA to settle for a field goal?!?! I guess we will take what we can get at this point.
undchris
Wow a flipping field goal. They actually held them to no TD on this drive.
