NDFAN
If I am not mistaken he is already on the team basically isn't he? Yes, he was on the projected line up, but the game write up said he was a healthy scratch. (Oilers Website is my source)

mwade
Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but Zajac was part of the public Devils' practice before their AHL game tonight (fundraiser). Parise did well playing the first half of the AHL game giving up one (Naumenko only gave up the winning shootout goal).

dallassiouxfan
I'm glad to see he's signed!!! I think he's one of the best 'snipers' in hockey. I hope I get to see him play again. We had a CHL team in town until they folded. The Fort Worth Brahmas. One of the Lundbuhm brothers played for them a couple years ago. Too bad, would have been fun to see Prpich skate when they came to town.

PCM
Story about Lee Goren in the National Post: Time working against Goren Canucks prospect knows this year could be last chance It has never been as easy as it has looked for Lee Goren, and it sure isn't easy now. Once, a big, strong, soft-handed can't-miss Boston Bruins prospect, Goren is still big and strong and can still score goals. But at 28, he is now a long way from being a prospect. Fact is, he's now residing just outside Last Chance City. And although he is loved by new Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault, Goren knows that he could be in the midst of his final legitimate run at a regular job in the National Hockey League. "Every year is a big year for me," said Goren, after getting about 10 minutes of ice-time in Vancouver's 4-3 pre-season loss to San Jose on Thursday night. "Every game, every shift, it's all big. Nothing has ever come easy for me. Nothing will ever be handed to me. I still consider myself a work in progress." I sure hope Lee makes it this year. He's always been one of my favorites. EDIT: The story says Goren scored the game-winning goal in the 2000 national championship game against BC. That's incorrect. Jason Ulmer scored the winning goal and Goren scored the empty net insurance marker.

missK
Thanks for sharing. I know Fedotenko is recovering from hip surgery. How's he look? Feds hasn't played in any PS games yet. He does take part in practice and all drills but they are holding him out of games right now. He told me on Sunday he will definintely be ready for opening night. FYI - Matt is playing tonight in Montreal, he made it through the 2nd set of cuts. The Lightning coaching staff ticked me off by not playing him on Sunday night at home.
