GeauxSioux
UND soccer defeats Drexel, 1-0 North Dakota's first win against a Division I team...The Fighting Sioux soccer team picked up their first win against a Division I opponent this season in a 1-0 win over Drexel Friday afternoon at the Niagara University Fall Classic. The win improves UND’s record to 3-3-0 while Drexel falls to 3-2-0. Both UND and Drexel had a quiet first half, with the Fighting Sioux putting up two shots to Drexel’s seven. Momentum for both teams picked up in the second period when Rachael Loomis (Fr., Fargo, N.D.) scored an unassisted goal for the Fighting Sioux at 51:33 off a rebound in the box, giving UND the 1-0 win. Drexel out-shot UND 15-5 in the second period, 22-7 overall.Nice win ladies. There is that name Loomis again.

bincitysioux
The soccer team is really struggling this year. They are 3-9, and recently lost to Northern Iowa, Montana, and USD, three struggling programs in their own right. Our program showed so much potential just a few seasons ago when Brock Thompson was named coach, but has fallen off considerably. Just wondering if there are any great soccer minds out there that have an opinion on what this program needs to do to improve.
