  1. I think we will see about 10 defensive backs added through jucu, fbs drop downs, and high school kids, and see who pans out on the roster. This is a passing league........ I guess the silver lining with some of the pass yardage is we can improve on ball skills and mental mistakes and that will go a long ways with the current guys we have.
  2. I want a fire proof shirt and pants so we don't get lit up and smoked in 2015. (San Jose St, Mo St., E. Washington) I hope we are past these games getting so out of hand.
  3. Good to know- Sacred Heart - 3 NDSU - 42 in Frisco.
  4. Couldn't agree more........the 3 teams I wanted to see against NDSU were EWU, Illinois State, and UNI.(Those are the teams that could beat the Bison) So, what will end up happening is these teams in "the bracket of doom" beat the crap out of each other and a crappy team like Fordham makes a run and probably looses their starting QB in the process but makes it to the championship game. Meanwhile 3 teams lay down for the Bison, at home of course,(like the Jacks always do) and they kick the crap out of a crippled Fordham team for another title. Sound about right?
  5. I would like to see some siouxsports.com contributions to items upon Bubba's direction. Maybe uniforms, summer scholarship funds to keep players in town, advanced training equipment, can we start a fund for coach bonuses?? Save the HP center for foundations and guys that !@#$ gold bricks.( God bless those folks that do)
  6. Our top 3 QBs will be competing hard for the starting job and it will make them better players. They will all be given a shot and we might not know who the 'starter' is until a week before opener. May the best man win, that's my position.
  7. Talented enough to start next year where we left off this year? Boas would be a solid insurance policy at center or guards? Thanks for the feedback-
  8. Any O-line expertise on what we have coming back or need for next year?
  9. Linebacker play this year was pretty darn good, helps that Schmitty played that position. Luke did well in developing the O-line but overall I say Schmitty did the best this year with his position group. But a good argument to have, 'best coach'. We have a lot of LB talent back next year and should be stacked. Bubba knows secondary play and Marty must be a pretty good coach too, you saw that with Baylee Car's play this year compared to previous years. So if Carter and another young guy or two steps up in the secondary we should be improved next year in secondary, too. We need some beef and player development on the D-line with our younger guys. I think d-line is the wild card next year on how good the D could be. On offense.......we have 3 QBs with starting experience. I don't know what is going to shake out but QB play should be better next year. O-line seems to be headed in the right direction but I don't know the losses or what we have on the roster to fill in....does anyone have a read on the O-line for next year?? We need a top notch WR badly to stretch the field. Need an effective stable of RBs, not sure we have that on our roster. I would give a bonus to coaches at Bubba's discretion. Looking forward to recruiting, signing day, and pounding some beers with the coaches.
  10. Kicked them....Schmitty wasn't messing around today.
  11. Does anyone know if he runs track?? He looks like a track runner and point being he could shave another 10th off his forty and be a viable 3rd down back or slot WR option next year.
  12. They have a meat packing plant and we are hungry for a win, advantage us. I too am concerned about our team playing, or lack of playing, on the road. UNC runs multiple sets including spread, has a mobile QB, and a few talented WRs, none of which translates well for us. But, their O-line is suspect (kinda like the Griz) So, expect our D-line to be active and for the LBs to be making plays. Expect Schmitty to really attack, sack city here we come. If our DBs turn around on third and long we should be fine. Offensively I think we'll do OK. For 1, Rudolph gets to build off of last weeks successes. 2, we don't really have to worry about protecting our QB for the rest of the season, so I expect Studsrud to be active in the run game. All things considered: UND - 23 UNC - 20
  13. Robert Morris with 8 votes.....are these participation points?? If they get their second win watch out play-offs I guess.
  14. Sorry, you just said that. My bad.
  15. We should have ran it down to 2-3 seconds to be critical.....so the game was over on the make. I think we had enough time on the play clock.
  16. We had about 40 player visits at the game yesterday. It looks like 5-6 were guys that already gave verbal commitments. I get the feeling our staff knows how to recruit. It helps when the head coach 100% believes in the program.
  17. Dear Santa, I promise to be good the rest of my life if we can land this recruit-
  18. The shades were pretty sweet today, calling a 2 point win.....can I keep them on one more week??
  19. Tillman has made some game winning plays this year no doubt, but today he was toasted for a TD and had a bad penalty. To your point I agree about the secondary still needing some serious help, especially ball skills on 3rd and long. Attention shut down corners, you can start 4 years at UND.........
  20. Olivera is thick, looks like he is ready to play. Aren't the Canadian kids a bit older coming into college??
  21. Great play! Still confused by all the 3rd and long conversions though- we need more football awareness in those situations.
  22. Studsrud buys some time, finds Ivory down field(then Ivory trips) to set up game winning field goal. But, was that a glimpse of greatness??
  23. This result should help with recruiting- the W today.
  24. I am impressed- Momoh reminds me of Wes Atkinson. Although a little short, explosive and fast off the edge.
