Correct, 2 years. I know he's expected to be in the 2 deep for sure. I like the addition. Good athlete at 260 lbs, shows good awareness, takes good angles and never gives up on a play. Hearing crickets on the RB position right now......for the most part.
-
When Schmitty burps, then we have enough. We have 2 senior starters so maybe looking at some depth issues for next year, too.

Say that to my face and you will find out what I throw-

Dr. Mincer, Should I have said "was a critical MVC game in the Bison's season" Bison were 3-1 in conference play, SUI was 4-1 in conference play heading into the 2012 game. I guess that game didn't mean much. Done with this-

Wish list- RB, Corner, DE transfer from Big 10, Big or PAC 12 conference- I was never excited about a backup corner from W. Michigan.........we should be on the same level as the MAC, or soon will be.

Bummer.........afraid beer and football is better than just football I suppose.

Although the manager at BWW would personally be 'OK' with your suggestion it could be bad for business. However, in welcoming both fan bases the north BWW did add onto the west (1-2 years ago....) with an upstairs outside area and a 3-season type expansion below to accommodate overflows for such events.

Good stuff - I spoke with an NDSU guy about tailgating. He said a general tailgate lot is open to visitors at $5.00 per spot. But, it is open to SU fans, too, so expect to get in line the day before to get a spot. Given SU actually knows how to promote things like tailgating maybe there will be additional options for both sides come game day......for 'just another game'.

That was my initial thought, wowser on the Kelley green. I like it.
-
I am banking on them being too naïve to get hurt.

One thing that is kind of specific to running backs is either they have great instincts with the ball in their hand, or they don't. So what I am trying to say is a guy can have great instincts from day 1......nothing to develop but the mental side of being assignment sharp and heck, the QB can help with this pre snap.
-
Either one of these things happens: (all in my humble opinion) 1) we get another capable FBS running back this summer or 2) Jade Lawrence becomes an option at RB (the UM transfer at OLB may have afforded us this option) We may just end up with a lot of youth at RB, but youth doesn't mean they can't be productive. Don't sleep on Santiago, too, he's a player.

Reality - Who is denying UND is most known for hockey?
-
I think pride is different than having a complex about success on the field or even in business or your personal life. Point is, you can have pride without being an arrogant prick.
-
I didn't see it as bitter, just would be nice to have a broader approach to top programs across the board at UND. I am not blaming hockey......... From conversations I've had, private funding has to be 100% available on all phases of the indoor facility before construction starts. (public funds???) The only problem I have with hockey is fans with a superiority complex.

Nevermann wasn't going to help this year and my opinion is he lacked the ability to be anything more than a tough banger. Sharp didn't show the level of play needed to earn a spot, and I'm guessing the same with Blass. So we have Arrington, not sure on Norberg at RB/LB, but Olivera and Smith will get a real shot at playing time. All this shake-up would make sense with the announcement of a new RB coming to the program......we'll see.

I don't know much about the Canadian system. He broke a NLI with a US College. Are you saying he can play a year in Canada and transfer to anywhere he wants from there?
-
But, let's not make it too easy for kids to transfer because it will essentially turn into free agency.....in a way. These are adults, signing a contract, and it should be difficult to drop school A and play for school B. Do we want more guidance from the NCAA on this, or should players expect to honor a commitment or face pretty harsh consequences in some instances. Just a thought - For UND, Neverman situation sucks and so does Troy Hanson and his decision. I assume Troy is done with his college eligibility??

Just a photo on a cell phone. I am guessing it's the mock up sent for approval before 100 uniforms are made. Jersey, pants, helmet. The helmet matched the 'green' so definitely looked like a new helmet.
-
I've seen the home uniform. I'll tell you it's really really Kelly green. Appears to be a matching helmet. It looks like something Oregon would wear, but a little more tame.

Concert and game ticket $60.00, might have to bump ahead the departure time for the RV. 14 hour drive from Fargo, not too bad. Good for them in hyping up the opener with a creative event......maybe we can learn something from this.

It's 'Optional'......wink, wink.

Spring game was an open, all access environment. I watched from the track, the stands, and afterwards the coaches, players, and a number of signed recruits hung around. Items of note: -1st guy I bumped into was Masson Bennett, incoming recruit. He said the Canadian boys are working hard, doing a lot of workouts together. - Ratelle blew up a play, might of had a series or two and was done for the day......he's good - Jawon Johnson looked good, Deon Harris looked the best in the secondary. Reyes was out with a hand injury. We might need another big corner to step up.......... - Our young D-ends added some noticeable size -D-line looked good, but some of that was due to the condition of the offense - For the o-line, Anderson was out, Meehan had 1 series, no Stockwell, Boas had the flu the previous days and was barely OK to play, they are shuffling Cox around, and we have some young guys struggling with the schemes. So, it was shakey for obvious reasons. I sat with Anderson and Meehan at the gala, they assured me they will anchor the line come fall. Starting 5???....still some uncertainty. - Running backs. How are they suppose to look considering the O-line? (And Alder and Iverson were out, too) However, I thought Norberg ran hard and showed a sign of RB instincts, and Sharp showed some signs too and that was a pleasant surprise. I don't think Arrington is that far ahead at RB. And I still think the incoming Olivera has a chance to get carries. -WR as some mentioned Seibel and Clive are pretty good. We will use Stanly at 6'4" in some matchup situations. - QB battle......tough call given the injuries and shuffling on the O-line. The battle continues. - Gala, Bubba had the boys out in force, Ratelle and Norberg were at the table next to mine. Meehan thought Ratelle would win an arm wrestling match between the two, I had to ask... I saw Molberg and Studsrud, and others attended the event, too. The football players that were not guests at the tables were working and organizing silent auction items. It was great to see all the FB guys helping out, and people noticed. The gate to the old Englestad went for $20,000- -Baukol, I saw briefly at the end of the night. He promised to take care of the boys this summer. -roll tribe-

Agree. I think UND cranks the Spring game up next year with a fuller roster. Everyone take a deep breath and relax. Bubba was hearing from a lot of football guys that wanted to A) go to the Spring game B) go to the Gala (or wife's dragging them to Gala, either way) So, it was his decision to have the game on the same day as the Gala to say to those that have some travel time, "I want you at both events". I was told the entire coaching staff will be at the Gala and I have my shovel ready. (to dig up some info) The casual fans will come around to a winning program, not because the Spring game is hyped up and made to be something more than it is. NDSU isn't going to recruit with, our Spring game was televised.......
