  1. In regards to sitting players, at what point do you sit people with a letter on their sweater? Part of being ready, and putting forth 60 minutes is on the captains. Honestly, we have some freshman and sophomores that shouldn't be sitting based strictly on their effort. If you want competition, no ones playing time should be guaranteed week to week, except for maybe Wolanin. I still think this team has all the parts to hang number 9, they just need to start clicking.
  2. I could really go for some BWW.
  3. Personally, i think team makeup might have something to do with it. What do we have for entertainment value this season? Our most offensively gifted player is a defenseman. We don't have any personalities like Steph Pattyn and Ben Blood. We don't have offensive juggernauts like DOT, Pony Express, or CBS. Now factor in the prices of what many people ask for retail vs the entertainment value on the ice and i think you have your answer. Maybe it's just me, but while I still follow and watch every game I can, the thought of paying over $100 a ticket for a team that could lay a goose egg on the weekend makes me second guess my purchase. This is coming from a guy that would happily spend a grand per weekend driving to Grand Forks and buying tickets right on the glass.
  4. The NCHC is anything but down. Honestly, this conference this season is even more ridiculous than it normally is because even the bottom feeders are cleaning up on out of conference teams.
  5. In the cheap seats.
  6. I've had one overreaction since becoming a fan. It was following a series in Denver in 2016. I decided there was no way that team could play that bad and get anywhere in the tournament, so in my haste, I made plans to visit a friend of mine in April. I watched UND win the national championship on my buddies couch instead of in Tampa. I learned to never overreact again. This team has showed that they can put up terrible games, but have also showed they can skate with the very best in the country.
  7. someone listens to too much Rush.
  8. this looks like my roster in nhl 18.
  9. Cakebread had a female get into his head, and it cost him his hockey career. Spent all his waking time with her and not working on his game.
  10. Lol. Pogo has been playing solid, I don't look at him as being an offensive juggernaut so i don't rag on him not scoring a ton of goals. Cam was outstanding this past weekend. Dude was like a brick wall Friday night, St. Cloud could have easily had 7 or 8 goals if not for some ridiculous saves. Gersich i can agree with. He's been lacking as an offensive talent. We knew coming into this season that scoring would be an issue. Honestly, in the last 3 weeks we've played the #1 & #2 teams in the nation and clearly belonged in the game without having a true offensive identity.
  11. Gooooooooch.
  12. whatever buddy, you seem to have the video of the replay, post the entire thing, not just the one view that makes it look like there's contact, or are you too big of a troll? Everyone that watched the game on tv knows there wasn't contact because it showed it over and over again that the western player swung his leg out and away from Gardner before he got to him.
  13. As i said before, the other angle that was shown multiple times, shows no contact. There looks like there's contact on this because of the angle.
  14. Did a bridge burn yesterday? The trolls have been out in full force the last two days.
  15. Take a look at the view from the other direction that shows there was zero contact. Nice try troll. Anyone have the view from literally two seconds after the end of trolls video?
  16. Was just going to post this.
  17. only delusional one is you. There was zero contact below the waist, and barely contact at the shoulder. Complete dive, yet here I am feeding the troll.
  18. NCHC needs to start suspending players for dives and acting jobs. Case in point, Gardner's penalty at the end. That's terrible.
  19. I'm no great hockey mind by any means, never played the game at any level, but i would say no. Wolanin is clearly our best defenseman, so that would leave a skill hole on the blue line. While he's clearly gifted offensively as well, I think he'd be easier to shut down as a forward, where teams can match against him. His skill set creates mismatch problems on the defensive end because it's like having 4 forwards on the ice, while not giving up a defensive liability. Bottom line, the guy is a dude. Leave him where he is, and hopefully these forwards figure it out sooner, rather than later. They figure it out, this team will be dangerous come March, and hopefully April.
  20. I think it's time for Berry to get vocal about the officiating. Two weekends in a row that's been atrocious officiating. I remember that play with pogo from last night and was screaming at the tv. There also was one that Simonson was interfered with away from the puck that kept him from getting a rebound opportunity.
  21. We've played terrible, but seriously, Brad needs to take a warning from the NCHC on the refs. How is that hold on Gardner not called right in front of them.
