Yep ugh. I shoulda placed a bet on UNI. Offense needs to get the momentum back, still long ways to go but that sucked. Up the middle isn't looking good so far.

I haven't been on here all day yet, was busy getting stuff done .....doesn't mean I'm not excited about this game and ready to roll now! This one is big. If we don't win this, we have to run the table which means for sure have to beat USD at their place. Let's Go Hawks!

In 2019 he was a true freshman and played 6 games so that burned a year. Then 2020 was COVID year so that didn't count. But then 2021, 2022, and 2023 makes 4 years of eligibility used up so he would be done. Guess he would have to petition for 2022 to be considered a medical redshirt in order to have another year of eligibility left. That is how I see it anyway.

I believe this is his last year of eligibility. He played in 2019, 2021, 2022 and now 2023 is his 4th year of eligibility. The spring 20-21 season didn't count. It is confusing though because he is listed the same as Tommy. He might not have wanted to come back for another year, if he did he should have never gotten a snap in the 2022 season. Beleive he was hurt all year and they just gave him a snap or two in one of the games to get him in towards the end of the season. Or maybe he took some snaps early on 2022 and then got hurt, I can't remember.

Heck I got kind of nervous watching that and I already knew we won. I think the keys will be bend but don't break, and make tackles in space. They are going to complete passes and move up and down the field. Last year they got into red zone multiple times, we held them to two FG's and a missed FG on two of them. We got some key sacks in the red zone, will need to do that again. Our corners opposite of CJ have a year of experience so hopefully that will help. Will be interesting to see if we can pound it on the ground up the middle again.

Same with me, I haven't really cocked off at all to my two close SU friends. If we win this weekend I'll feel better. However even then I could see us meet in playoffs and it would suck to lose that one. As the other poster said, I think the rematch would be a lot closer and more what we expected it to be the first time. Our guys would believe though and the Alert would be rocking again, but can't count on kickoff return and blocked punt every game. That said they couldn't stop our run. Rematch might be pretty high scoring.

The nice thing about it, the game wasn't even close because there were so many big plays......hard to come up with one to remember it by. That opening kickoff though helped ramp up the confidence that the team already had and was big. CJ's pick was the sealer and turn of events type of play though. And if course kudos to the offense for punching it in for 6 after the great return.

I do find it odd that Nate has zero catches as a starting WR through 6 games.

Rewatched the game tonight on ESPN+ replay...... remember when we said we just wanted to be better than the other team and not have to rely on trick plays? I don't think there was a single trick play against SU.

If going to do green I'd rather do white pants with solid green jersey. Could wear either the grey or green helmet with that. Green pants and green top would be ok on occasion but I still like the white pants/green solid top. Seems like if we just got a new solid green jersey, and if we still had the grey pants from a few years ago we'd have a lot of good combinations. I am also totally ok with the black pants and top with either helmet, I do like seeing the black pants and jersey occasionally.

I know we all hated the grey pants green jersey combo they had for awhile. Did they completely just burn those grey pants? If they were still around seems like they could work with just a new jersey. Or even on the road wear grey pants, white jersey, silver helmet.

Yeah that is complete crap. And that is where preseason rankings do matter. They were not ranked, way harder to move up even if you deserve it.

Exactly. I originally hated this game being right after the NDSU game, however it actually might be a good thing. I think our team understands that this is a big game and a good team. I think this will help them get focused again. If we were playing someone else on the road I'd be more worried about a hangover. Hopefully I'm right on this.

Not sure if it's just me or not, but it feels like Skokna just seems to be the heartbeat of the team. You listen to him talk and it sounds like he is ready to run through a brick wall for the team on a moments notice.

Montana beats Idaho in their house 23-21. I said it before .....Big Sky is down this year. I think all four of the Dakota's may be be better than every team in the Big Sky other than MSU. Idaho was supposed to be the up and coming Big Sky darling, but get beat at home by a team that lost to an NAU team that we crushed. Still a long ways to go though, but either way I think that second tier in the Big Sky after MSU is not as strong as the second tier MVFC after SDSU.

Now THIS is why flew up here for the weekend!! When I bought my ticket back in August it just felt like this was going to be the year and absolutely HAD to be the year. The SDSU game had me worried and doubting, but as I mentioned earlier this week I felt our players had to be taking this way more personal than SU after getting spanked year after year. Today they came out and did something about it. Also love hearing the 2003 team was up here this week. It just added to the feeling like it had to happen this year. This was a long time coming, congratulations to Bubba and all the coaches staff and players. For me that absolute dime that Tommy dropped in to Elioder and the CJ pick were the two plays of the game. OL was amazing but I think hitting a pass like that to Elidor was an important play in the game. Let's keep it going next week at UNI!!

Flying up to Fargo tonight and then heading up to GF Saturday morning. I'll probably buy some beverages before leaving Fargo, but was wondering if there is beer for sale in the tailgating area and/or food?

With his success in the CFL, do you think he might try to see if he can make an NFL roster sometime?
