  1. I like what we did there getting both Feeney and Romfo in and running some plays. Would have liked to have seen that one drive earlier.
  2. I doubt the issue is that we are scared he will get a bunch of NIL offers lol. I think it's just a case of getting both of these guys some reps. Although I could see Romfo coming in regularly now and then for a few plays. I liked that they had him throw the ball, so that it's not completely 1 dimensional when he is in because if it is that will eventually get shut down. They may have wanted to get some passing on tape for him so other teams have to at least think about it when he comes in.
  3. I was thinking Red went back in the game at least once after coming out of the locker room but I could be wrong.
  4. Pretty sure that is just a package for him, Feeney is QB2. Sounds like they've practiced it during the week with all of the QBS though, but Romfo is easily the best runner.
  5. Wait I thought someone told Red to Calm down.
  6. Bo and Red better be 100 percent healthy for next week.
  7. I think it's because this is a game none of us are too worried about and feel like we should win by 3-4 scores. There were like 40 posts during the day this past Tuesday, so I don't think it's apathy.
  8. I agree with this. MSU demolished Weber 40-0. I think when those two teams are on.....it is likely nobody will beat them. That said every team has some poor performances and SDSU may have some games where they beat average teams by only 10-15. SDSU was coming off a bye week and a ranked ND team coming in was a big game and they wanted to show us who is boss......and they absolutely did. We will see how the season plays out. Regardless if those two teams are head and shoulders better.....it was embarrassing getting pummeled like that. They also pummeled a pretty good NDSU team last year in the Championship game though too. I still think we can be a good team, but obviously we have quite a ways to go to get to the top.
  9. It should and will be a blow out. But even if we win 45-0 it won't mean all that much as far as proving that we've really improved at anything when it really matters. However we do need to be in more of a positive mindset heading into NDSU. I'll be looking forward to watching UND football this weekend as we are only guaranteed to watch UND football 11 times a year.
  10. I'm certainly not a Bubba hater, but he gives off the most least confident look/facial expression on the sidelines as a HC that I've probably ever seen.
  11. I agree the podcast is high quality and we are fortunate to have it as I look for to it every week. I also agree they can't give their true feelings currently because of Shannon, but I think they all do a good job. But when Bubba retires I'd hope Shannon would stay on, he knows lots of history etc.. Although I get we don't want to totally live in the past either. I'm hoping Danny being named Associate HC....develops into him being HC this off season barring some miraculous turn around and is winning a bunch of big games. Even then I think it's time, but it just won't happen if that happens.
  12. And to contrast, many times SDSU WR's were wide open....and Gronowski had all kinds of time. Even on that throw to Belquist....which he didn't sit back there too long as it looks like it was a straight go route, Tommy got drilled right after he threw it. Part of reason though that SDSU's receivers were wide open might be because we were afraid of getting burned deep which opened up the intermediate routes.
  13. Photoshopping our own players like this is Lame AF.
  14. I disagree with this one, I think Shannon is fine on the 360 podcasts and does a pretty good job.
  15. There was talk about the OL being better so that we'd have more time for longer plays to Develop. At least once Saturday that I recall it looked like we were trying to set up a deep pass but he had no time and got sacked. Either way, Tommy hasn't shown he can stretch the field. We've got a few guys with some speed. Elioder, Dennis, think Red is fast too but we still can't stretch the field currently. And I would have agreed with you it woulda been better to throw 3 deep balls the first 3 plays at SDSU on the first series because we went 3 and out anyway. Or heck a deep ball on 2nd down in that first series when Q got stuffed.
  16. Didn't the next coach win a Natty right after he left, hopefully we can do the same.
  17. Klein now with 2 nice one handed catches, he may need to start seeing the field more. Although I think he did get in a number of times yesterday. Hopefully he can continue to stay healthy.
  18. No I don't think they do. Although if they tell Tommy he likely won't be the starter next year, and might even be 3rd string.....and he accepts that role it wouldn't be a hindrance to have that kind of experience if the top 2 go down. It is going to be interesting though to see how all of that shakes out. Hope the coaches do what is best for ND football.
  19. I won't get any false hope next Saturday from beating down Western, but it's still possible to go 8-3 if we beat NDSU. If we can't beat NDSU at home I sure don't see us beating both USD or UNI on the road. Yes technically we can still go 9-2 but I don't see that happening. Yesterday I pretty much gave up on us making any type of deep playoff run, and even though this weekend was depressing and embarrassing, I'm still wanting a home playoff game and win. Either way though still feel that we have hit our ceiling unless some changes are made. USD beats NDSU, NDSU beat EWU fairly easily, and EWU was in the game against Idaho. We beat NAU easily and NAU beats Montana and almost Sac State. Unless these are anomalies, the upper to mid part of Big Sky might not be as good as they thought they were going into the year
  20. Also hard when you can't run the ball either. Crazy how we were so effective on offense to start the first half last year. Then it's like SDSU figured it out ...and since then....we haven't been able to do anything. I get SDSU has bigger and better athletes....but still it was very disappointing in offense once again yesterday.
  21. Can't remember for sure what USD was picked preseason in the MVFC...but if the 8th team in the Big Sky beat the #2 in Big Sky they'd all be tripping over themselves to say how deep the Big Sky is. Actually looks like USD was picked #9 in preseason poll.
  22. I think he is faster than Tommy. I don't think he is considered a true running QB that would run 10 times a game, but you could see on his TD run.....he was patient and yet was then able to bolt through the hole. I don't think Tommy would have scored if he was in on that play. For one, they probably wouldn't have even called that play if Tommy was in.
  23. I agree with this. Heck even NDSU who had an established starter in Miller brings their 2nd guy in. Feeney deserves some real reps at a minimum.
  24. Yeah you are right, that one stung more than this one...as we blew a playoff win. That was fairly early in Bubba era though....and even though we blew it....it looked like we were a playoff worthy team and we had progressed each year. 7 years or whatever later with being patient and waiting and now thinking we were about to make a splash we completely sh*t the bed and look like are are no further along than we were against Richmond. I don't think I even cursed yesterday.... because from the opening drive...we were never even in it.
  25. Thinking this has to be the most disappointing game/performance under the Bubba era. It started feeling like we were actually pretty close to being compete with the top teams. Obviously we are not....and it's not close. Embarrassing performance yesterday from A toZ.
