  1. For me I Kinda like the NAU one since I can drive to that. And I’d like to get that horrible taste out of my mouth since my only time being to one at NAU was last year, and that game was about as ugly as you can get given there was a playoff spot riding on it.

    Spring Ball

Just having a more diverse and fun offense to watch will likely put a few more butts in the seats for home games on it's own. Hopefully with that offense and a strong defense it will help bring more wins as well which will help attendance. The last four games last year were so miserable, I am SO thankful I don't have to watch another year of Rudy ball! How did JJ look, is he a little leaner this year?
  3. Hopefully with a little more of a diverse offense, and if we can have success with it......we'll have a better chance at landing these type of WR's. If you were a WR coming out of HS, unless you had some major reason to come to UND, who wouldn't want to go to SDSU over UND. Not too many WR's would want to come play for hand off up the gut every play until 3rd and long.

    Spring Ball

Question, I'm not sure what or how much contact is allowed with the team in the off season. Danny obviously has a brand new, and completely different playbook (Thank God), is he able to get that out to the players in the off season so they can start reviewing it and getting familiar with it? Or will they walk in day one of spring ball and see the new play book for the first time that day?
  5. I like it too. You know Kleiman won't allow K State to overlook or let up in that game, he's going to want to stick it in us good.

    2019 Season

Even though the debacle at the end of the year last year happened, and how frustrating it was to watch......I'm SO glad we laid an egg at the end of the year. If we would have just won one of those games we would have been in playoffs and I'd guess Rudy is still calling plays for us. We were never going to be more than maybe a one win playoff team with him. I waited for about 4-5 years for UND to play at NAU again since we didn't play them at NAU since 2013 I think. Had looked forward to that game for so long and being able to see the team in person again. Was such an ugly and embarrassment of a game, but I am now thankful for it. Last year we were somewhat excited because we thought we had a QB who could throw the deep ball better, it gave us a glimmer of hope for the offense. Well this year we have some real reason to have some hope for our offense and almost the entire offense returning. Most of the defense is returning, and we just seem to have better depth at almost every position than we've had in a while, minus NG. Danny still has to prove himself as OC, but I certainly think there is reason for hope. I'm going to wear my Kelly Green glasses all off season because I have to have hope for something better than what was, otherwise there is no point. We do have a very tough schedule next year though and who knows we may only go .500, but I'm going to be excited for a few months while I can.
  8. Big kid and elusive.....Streveler Jr.
  9. C'mon man, you don't think you are going to get a little ribbing about that from us for a while when you come on our board?
  10. 3 kickers seems like a lot, but it sure will be nice knowing we have more than a 30% chance on FG's more than 20 yards out next year.....or if the game is on the line.
  11. About the same caliber of teams that we beat out to get Santiago. And no, I'm not saying he is going to be a Santiago.
  12. That sucks.

    2019 Season

Good, will make SHSU a better team so when we beat them it will look more impressive come playoff time.
  14. You can, but there is literally no way another offensive coordinator would use Santiago as poorly as Rudolph did. On a scale of 1-10 as to how well Rudy used the talents of Santiago....I'd probably give it a 1. I guess he did give him the ball a fair amount even with other talented RB's on the team, so maybe a 2.
  15. Nice! Anybody have a link to his hudl, or was it posted recently?
  16. Amen!!
  17. Totally agree. Worst case scenario SU is giving up at least partial scholly when the were previously not giving up anything. Sure hope he chooses UND though, would love hearing how SU didn't really want him that much anyway.

    2019 Season

Definitely excited to see the new offense next year too. So many times we had the three tall WR's on the field at the same time, they are all good but had similar skill sets. Hopefully one of the faster guys is on the field at almost all times next year. It will be nice to see a more diverse offense next year. We'll probably never graduate two RB's at the same time as we did in losing Brady and John, however have to give kudos to the staff in the RB's we are bringing back. Especially with Gordon going back to RB. It looks like we have 4 solid RB's next year and while I will miss watching both Brady and John, I'm not really concerned at all right now about the RB position next year. OL should have some decent depth next year and experience. Last year we started the year with the OL already banged up. Sure hope this year they start out 100% healthy. We will need a great game by the OL to have a chance against SU. With his athleticism, I think Boltmann could end up being the guy next year at QB. Will be interesting to see how that shakes out.

    2019 Season

Not sure if he would have started next year, but was thinking he was supposed to be one of our best recruits of that class wasn't he? Didn't he have a PWO from Iowa or something.
  20. Posting that pic was a total dick move, and even you know that.
  21. Even though he was the leading scorer, I bet Moody wasn't ecstatic about his game and feels he should have done/shot better. I certainly wouldn't say he was in the zone, he missed some shots badly.....air balled one and hit the back board on another. That said he still did score which was lacking from others, and he'll hopefully improve on defense as get gets more experience. I think the more he plays and gets comfortable his accuracy will improve.
  22. A legit transfer in at NG. Merry Christmas!
  23. Way less of a mistake than Ryan Leaf! He was proving to be pretty good and likely would have been the Super Bowl MVP last year if he didn't get hurt. Sure if he ends up always being injured it will prove to not turn out well, but he has proven he can play at a pretty high level and I don't think anybody has been considering him a bust.
  24. A lot of people seemed to be excited when we got Cloyd. Maybe he'll have a breakout year under a new OC.
  25. True, however I think it’s pretty normal for any fan base to be upset for a day or two upon hearing one of your best prospects that committed has changed his mind. Not necessarily upset at the kid, just upset in general for a day or two, especially given our QB situation the past 5 years. I was pretty damn disappointed when saw that he recommitted but I’m pretty much over it already, it is what it is.
