  1. Right. I counted their roster once and think there were about 60 on the team. It appears as long as a school's scholarships are in line in terms of men to women, and the women have good facilities, you're fine.
  2. There are many more examples out there similar in disparity between men's and women's sports. Which is why I don't buy the argument/scare tactic that always comes up saying UND would be in violation of title 9 if WIH was dropped.
  3. Cue the violins.
  4. What are you guys talking about. I thought actual costs and reality only applied to the world of mens' sports.
  5. I think it's some sort of rare follicle disorder.
  6. Please, say no more.
  7. If it turns out he sucks, it'll be a good hire.
  8. To spare anyone from the audiological harm I just endured, Fetch's link is to a song about a bear and a white dove, who eventually make out in a river. You're welcome.
  9. i think he's suggesting UND finally get their own version of personalized license plates made available to the public, like the turds have.
  10. I disagree. There's nothing cheap about women's hockey.
  11. But on the bright side, we'll still have women's hockey.

I was thinking it looked like a typical Vikings 4th quarter performance.

  17. I'm not an expert by any means; it was merely a suggestion, if indeed it's allowed.
  18. We should score more goals.
  19. Blame Trump?
  20. Has anyone floated this idea by Kennedy?

  22. Seems to be a lot of concern about having to keep women's hockey solely because of men's hockey. How do the top notch football universities ever get in compliance with title IX? My guess is they make sure they offer enough scholarships to offset in women's sports, and make sure their women's athletic facilities are nice. End of story. Alabama for instance has a women's rowing team with 58 members on the roster. I don't know if they're rowing for Carnival Cruise lines, but if not, 58 seems a bit excessive. I'm thinking it's their way of offsetting football, giving equal scholarships to women. It seems to work just fine for them.
  23. Tomato tomato.
  24. The perception of not valuing women's hockey in grand forks can be seen every other weekend with the 11500 empty seats at the Ralph; the community doesn't value it, women clearly don't value it so how can it be a title IX sacred cow? If cut, there should be no complaining from a community that refuses to support a sport this expensive for UND.
