  1. Again, depends one the offense you want to run. It's difficult to throw across the middle with a shorter QB; you're basically throwing into lanes. The best QBs in the NFL (aside from Drew Brees) are all 6'5"+ But that's a pro-style offense too, rarely see read-option at that level. And if you do their QBs are banged up.
  2. He could play QB in college. I saw him play one time and he's solid. Can run and pass pretty well. Couldn't throw an accurate deep ball that night but everything underneath looked good. I guess it depends on what we want to do offensively. If you want to run your QB Studsrud could be a better fit. May have a harder time passing behind a tall O-line in college.
  3. Studsrud is a good player! I don't think he is better than Wilkie or Perra as far as being a pure QB. Good athlete, however. Could play a lot of positions.
  4. Wiki is not behind... unfortunately
  5. Prediction for Sunday AT Seattle? We face off against one of the best teams in the league at THEIR field which they don't lose at... should be a treat. My guess as of now 34-21 Seachickens
  6. Living in Minnesota and being a UND grad, it makes me happy to see some of our top basketball talent in MN play at UND!
  7. But here lies the issue-- I live in the South metro, and from what I heard, he said both South Dakota schools were close. So, if we don't offer before another school does, I doubt he would come here. Almost like a back-handed compliment to come in second place when his dad (Chris I think?) is a former player.
  8. I have only heard of Bachmeier through friends back home. They either watched or played against (don't recall) Kindred and said he could play in the top half of the NSIC.
  9. No, I posted earlier that his dad is Rich Wilkie, a former football player at UND.
  10. Most high schools have no other option than to put their best talent at QB. It makes the most sense to have the ball into your best athlete's hands on every play. I would like to see Mumphrey at WR. He's very illusive.
  11. Does anyone have a link to an online feed of the game this weekend?
  12. Looks like a pick up game. Play like that in college and check yourself into the ER. He's super raw. Between his footwork in his drop, throwing off his back foot at times, not tucking the ball away, he'd be a real project. But there's also a lot of potential. I'm 50/50. I like game managers that are accurate passers. Dual threat QBs are always hurt. However, he could open up the zone read game.
  13. I always love seeing recruits who have played on an international stage. European hockey is less physical. More detail conscious and less physical brand of hockey.
  14. I understand how it is an advantage in recruiting, of course, but in this particular case it actually does us more bad than good. Wilkie (according to the Star Tribune [Twins Cities newspaper]) doesn't have an offer on the table as of now. SO my point is, that if the Gophers, NDSU, SD schools, etc. come and offer him before we do... what shot do we have to get him? If I had a son getting recruited by B1G schools and UND didn't offered I would be pissed off.
  15. Not to get back on topic, but I don't see a loss the rest of the way for NDSU. Maybe Southern Illinois, but that's it. http://www.gobison.com/schedule.aspx?path=football
  16. Our pass D will need to step up big time. They like to toss the rock from looking at their stats vs Butler
  17. I don't know why his dad being an alumni is an advantage? I searched him on the Star Tribune website. It looks to me like he is the top QB in Minnesota. Have we offered?
  18. QB offer Easton Stick from Omaha said in an interview last week, "I've narrowed it down to SDSU and NDSU, but waiting on offers from Nebraska or Iowa." He will commit by about week 4.
  19. hahaha that was the worst/greatest music video ever
  20. Who's excited for the Stadium unveiling tonight???!
  21. Buy or Sell: Muss will still have a job at the end of the 2013 season.
  22. Buy: We will DEFINITELY average more fans than last year. Sell: I would be satisfied with 9,500. The atmosphere has dwindled at the Alerus the past few seasons. However, we also have a lot of returning talent and I think if we get out to a 2-1 start (3-0 maybe) it could really jumpstart the enthusiasm with the team this season.
  23. They look like they have been taking advantage of the meal plan! Do we know how tall they are? Big shoes to fill in the pass game. My money is on Bartels.
