I still think DU has the best chance at the penne rosa. Both UND & DU play at Omaha but we have Western, at home which helps, and DU has a home and home with CC.

DU can be beat as we proved if you can shut down that top line. I like our chances against them if we are skating 4 lines and have the albrecht line or Jammer line paired against them. Having 2 good checking lines gives us better chance that one of them can match with that DU Savoie line. I hope we play Denver in the league tourney.

For right now we need laser focus to win the PennRose. Small goals lead to bigger goals down the road.

By small I don’t mean the PennRose is a small achievement. But we have to focus on the goal at hand and that is winning the league now that we reached our goal of home ice. One goal at a time so to speak.

I noticed the same thing right away. how could you just forget to put in the game winning goal. Let them play games while we win games. Very petty of the NCHC. We’re gonna win the PennRose anyway.

Maybe a petty gripe but the league inexplicably omitted Jamernick’s goal in the highlights from last night. Not only was it a great short handed goal but it also turned out to be the game winner.

It also appears that on the Albrecht breakaway chance that the Duluth player may have thrown his stick when I watched the game highlights on NCHCtv

The more I watch that Albrecht replay that maybe should have been a penalty shot the refs did not call.

The refs were very consistent last night but the no call for the slash on UMD and then shortly after calling us for the identical penalty was totally inconsistent.  We not only beat Duluth tonight we beat the refs too.

All comes out in the wash.  Western could possibly play them in the tournament.

Michigan hockey also tried to hide their covid cases at the Fargo Regional from what is now coming out.  Not a real class act there in Ann Arbor.

These guys showed some god damn grit. Now get healthy. Still work to do but this should show they can play with good teams.

Western is imo better than Duluth but we played with them fairly even in their barn.  Our D corps is turning heads and our young guys have turned it up a notch especially the 4th line.  I think we matured a lot tonight as a team.  Driscoll was huge down the stretch in this one too.  When you can skate 4 lines all night it is huge imo as it creates favorable matchups not only for your 1-3 lines but Berry can put Ness, Portz and Albrecht out against lines that they match up favorably with.

Bus will be delayed while they look for Frisch's balls after being cup-checked by Biondi.

I hope there is a tv angle for a suspension.  Announcers were pretty quiet about why Sandy wouldn't put Biondi out in last couple minutes.  Quite a classless move by Sandy. Kid should have got ran by Kleven.  Duluth has no class.

I'm just kidding I can't remember the movie where I think Rauel Julia said that.

We might not lose another game this year

We speak now, tonight, and then these things are never spoken of again, agreed?  That's the line.

UND without its best player, captain, and top scorer and yet is beating UMD in its own building for the second night in a row.  Sandy is just being outcoached, plain and simple.

    :D

Our D corps is lights out and our young guys are getting confidence. Our 4th line is the difference. Not many teams have 4 good lines. Not great but 4 real good lines may be better than one great line and hold your breath when the 3rd and 4th lines are out there.

I am waiting for his power play wrinkle where we have 4 shooters ready for one timers. Karl is a mastermind as far as power plays go.

We weren’t far away from that last night the way the D was hammering the puck. Still need a screen so maybe 3 shooters.

I would think that Karl will be the next coach when Berry retires. Karl in my opinion is the best choice assuming they stay in house when Berry retires which may be quite a few years.

I am perfectly fine with allowing hardnose hockey. Don't call the little stuff as long as you call it the same both ways. But that was a cheap shot, and could have resulted in a bad injury. It should have been called as a major to prevent the game escalating into an out-of-hand game for the refs. Basically you are saying: "anything goes!"

I said the call was consistent with how the game was called all night. I said I felt it was a major also but the call was consistent with how they called the game all night. Both teams had no calls on obvious penalties so I felt the game was called very consistently.
