I thought they'd bring in more LBs and DTs due to having a ton more players available in the spring portal. These positions still feel thin - especially when it comes to experience - even with the additions. Hope the guys in those groups are the hardest working all summer. And hopefully the coaching staff really likes what they've seen from who they already have. My worry about these positions stems from years and years of getting bullied in the trenches by top MVFC teams. Like someone said, coaching matters. Hope to see a massive & longgggg overdue improvement in the defense this fall.

Agreed. Same with LB. Seems like they’re both still thin. Guessing a couple of the incoming 7 freshman LBs will need to make immediate impacts on special teams at least. Hope the freshmen get to campus in college ready physical shape. LBs that won’t be true freshmen: - McNeal - Parks - Butsch - Boll - Ahlers - Devereaux DTs: - Blegen - Bell (moved from OL) - Olagbaju - Henry - Eckheart - Samuels Parker Missing anyone?

For a town its size, Grand Forks has a ton of really good places to eat IMO. Is there turnover? For sure. That’s the industry. Fargo is not immune to it at all. Greater Grand Forks restaurants I’d consider really good or better, based on Google reviews and my own experiences. Probably missing some. What was the landscape at the time the contract was signed? I assume he took a philosophical approach

So what is the roster limit for the 2025 season and how do walk ons factor into that? I did some quick subtraction and recent additions since spring ball and landed at 111 total players.

Had 7 INTs his freshman year and 1 this past season. Thinking teams didn’t throw his way quite as often this year. His team went 11-0 this season

Sharing this from @UNDvince97-01 in the football thread in order to spread awareness: Two things regarding the 1883 collective that need to be addressed: First...It is an absolute administrative embarrassment and disgrace that UND is charging the 1883 Collective 25k a year to basically raise money for UND athletics only because they are doing it in the name of the University. Armacost, Chaves and whomever else need to be held accountable for this. It's unnecessary overhead that needs to be resolved to be more financially efficient. If anybody wants to b*tch about something important....this is it. Calls and emails. This is unacceptable. Second ...rent for the 1883 collective unit in Memorial Village. $1600 a month. Do the math. That's money that could be spent on athletes. Hoping the building owners can help out with that and do better for the cause.

No kidding. $25K and the $1,600 a month rent would go a long way toward getting some impact players to UND. Can’t wait to see the canned response from admin on this
