  1. nice to see some kickoffs going through the end zone.
  2. I thought it was roughing too. home field call.
  3. if the penalties can be eliminated this should be a good half for UND. they lead Nebraska in rushing yards, passing yards, time of possession, first downs, and take aways. they have committed 5 penalties to 1 for Nebraska.
  4. Defense should be rested for the second half. that is always big.
  5. this half time of possession: UND 20:38 Nebraska 9:22
  6. time for a fade to Maag in the corner?
  7. nice drive. gaining yards and eating the game clock.
  8. Once the P5 reorganizes into the major football conferences and splits from the NCAA, their basketball teams will follow. Cinderella will then be Washington State and Vanderbilt.
  9. Would ndsu rather partner like this with UND or SDSU? I'm not sure they are of the mindset to do anything that helps UND. Working with SDSU helps themselves and hurts UND in my opinion. Thoughts?
  10. There it is!! thanks everyone for point out where to find it. I had looked at that section and still missed it. I must be getting old...
  11. Not sure where to put this but I don't have cable TV so is it possible to stream the football games this season? I have ESPN+ but am not sure if they will carry any of UND's games.
  12. Can the admission issues be resolved so that he can take part in classes and be on the team?
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B13PeCmlNQ an interview with Brooks discussing UND commitment.
  14. Agreed. The pool of available talent for the P5's has broadened. The players they take from the G5/FCS/etc. are more proven than the high school players thereby making their recruiting more certain. Meanwhile the G5/FCS... are in the same boat as the JUCO's - audition schools for the P5.
  15. one pitfall of transferring is that you then put yourself back in the pool of available players along with incoming freshmen, so you are vying for spots with a larger group of players. . it looks like the NCAA is looking at this issue: https://theathletic.com/news/ncaa-d-i-council-approves-1-year-signing-limits-waiver-to-account-for-transfers/rO2GwQvo6YDt/
  16. The pendulum in college athletics swung from one extreme to another. First the schools had autonomy on how transferring was done. Now the players have virtual autonomy. A more equitable solution must be found. Perhaps one where once an athlete signs at a school, he/she can transfer and play immediately at another school but without scholarship. This would only apply to transferring to a school at the same level or higher than originally signed. As things are now athletes are using lower level D1 and D2 schools as proving grounds instead of junior colleges. I suppose this will never happen but I think it would be better than the chaos that exists now.
  17. I thank all of you who provided commentary during the games this year. It is much appreciated. As for next year, Omot and Eaglestaff should provide more balanced shooting. Won't have to worry as much about one guy having an off night, and hopefully alleviate the scoring droughts that occurred. I'd like to see more height and strength inside as to me it always seemed like other teams had someone stronger and bigger. Good luck in life to those seniors who are leaving.
  18. If Omot is the recruit, would he be a perimeter player or inside? some of the videos show him hitting 3's. With Bruns, Eaglestaff and Omot there would be much better outside shooting than this year.
  19. A question related to this one - is recruit signing more of a year long process? It used to be signees were just in February. Now with the portal it seems they can transfer whenever they want. Can they still transfer after spring practice, etc.?
  20. good job by the whole team. thanks to all of you who provided updates. much appreciated.
  21. if they could make some 3 point shots they would win a few games.
  22. other teams like working the ball down low. UND can't stop them. several games now UND came out shooting terribly and falling way behind.
  23. this is probably close. certainly aren't many D1 shooters on the team.
