I’d say yes and no. I’ll have to check but I think AIC hosted at the AHL arena they played in or the regional was there in Springfield. Just bid the arena and see what happens, that’s what the schools in the West should be doing. If Denver, UND, Omaha, and Augustana just don’t bid USHL/AHL arenas what is the committee going to do.

I had hope in college hockey fans, than the one in the East showed up out of nowhere. With how they are acting just think if the games were at Lawson, Munn, REA, and USA hockey Arena (Yost doesn’t have the lockers). They’d be complaining even more about having to go West.

WMU was 4 Michigan hosted the first 16 regional at Yost.

What should happen is all the schools in the West that want to host get together in a smoke filled back room and agree to only bid with their arenas and force the hand. The problem is no arenas in the West big enough there is the solution.

Out of the 5 times Van Andel Arena has hosted WMU 3 and Michigan 2 Edit: WMU 4 Michigan 1 (Yost hosted the first one)

Last year he said the team wasn’t going to be a down year, but Posch came out of no where and once he was hurt SCSU wasn’t the same. If they had Posch this year they would have been in the top 4 of the NCHC. I don’t think any effort was put into this search and they should have had Bobs replacement already on the bench.
