  1. I agree too, they did the same with Stan Smyl and Trevor Linden. Bure also wore the red, white, blue, and dark blue with the killer whale "C" logo.
  2. You can watch it online like the Miami game
  3. I was glad to hear that Pavel Bure's number was retired on Saturday by the Canucks.
  4. Next time you quote Einstein you might want to get the quote right.
  5. Zane had a goal each night that he shouldn't have let in (the first one tonight and the second on Friday). I don't see how nobody can make passes consistently. (tape to tape passes, not in the skates) Entries into the offensive zone, either chip the puck off the boards and use the speed this team has the beat the defenseman or throw the puck in the corner and go get it. Ringing the puck around the boards makes it easier for the other team to break the puck out. Power Play is atrocious, can't set it up, entry into the zone is stopped on the blue line or someone rings the puck around the boards. The power play need crisp passes, the guys need to move to get open when they don't have the puck, and puck movement. It's not hard to beat UND's power play when the guys out there stand there or stand in a spot and stick handle. How about the coach in charge of the power play try 4 forward and 1 defenseman. Why were there times in the offensive that all 3 forward are below the red line trying to get the puck out of a corner?
  6. It sounds like a recycled story
  7. I think Lake Superior scored 3 goals on six shots
  8. Only three players are uncommitted. Goalie #1 Blake Weyrick, forward Nolan Stevens #18, and forward Tyler Sheehy #15 (Sheehy will play for Des Moines this year). Right now Jordan Greenway would be the guy to go after on the U-17 team. Isn't Hrynkiw still injured?
  9. I'm wondering why Rumpel didn't play.
  10. I like them better then last years jersey, CC could be in the top 3 in the NCHC at the end of the year.
  11. Not anymore
  12. True, I think Parks going head first into the board got the 5 min.
  13. I thought it was Boarding
  14. Bemidji up 1-0 on the Minnesota Mattson with the powerplay goal Edit: Minnesota tied it up :51 later
  15. That was Mattson's man
  16. At the 18:15 into the 2nd period Wisconsin is down 6-0 to BC it was 4-0 BC after 1
  17. That was quick
  18. According to a press release by the Penticton Vees, it sounds like Gropp wasn't happy with his production this year. http://www.pentictonvees.ca/leagues/newsletter.cfm?clientid=3172&leagueid=0&page=74016
  19. Well Iowa is in the ACHA Division 2, and it looks like the school would have to build an area for the team. Iowa State is in the ACHA Division 1. Iowa State has an arena that they can play in, the Hilton Coliseum. The Hilton Coliseum is the home of Iowa State's basketball teams, but it can also has ice making ability. The Hilton Coliseum seats 14,356 and could be too big in the long run for the hockey team, but at least they wouldn't need to build a brand new arena right away. A team that could come to the NCHC with Iowa State is the University of Cincinnati. It's close to Miami (OH) the Bearcats play in a 10,000 seat arena The Cincinnati Gardens.
  20. There is 5 USHL teams in Iowa, I think Iowa State would go D1 before Iowa would.
  21. I'm betting that the coaches are trying to get the production out of Mitch and Mark like when they payed with each other in the BCHL.
  22. He would have been a nice pick up. I was thinking he would have been a 2014-2015 commitment not a 2015-2016. I was looking at the comparisons of Max Coatta and Jake Larson. This year their about even, Max Coatta for Penticton in 10 games (7-5-12) 2 powerplay goals. Jake Larson for Brooks Bandits in 10 games (4-10-14) 2 powerplay goals. Jake Larson played his senior year of high school in the SIJHL for the Minnesota Wilderness (now in the NAHL). For the Wilderness Larson, in 49 games went (44-28-72).
  23. Charlie Pelnik got his first point of the season with an assist for Langley today.
  24. Gropp is only 2 points behind Coatta and it's only 7 games into the season
