I was one of the ones that thought a an off-season change at DC was the right move. Then I retreated a bit when I realized how much the defensive personnel changed from ‘21 to ‘22. But now we have an opportunity to upgrade our DC. Hopefully we do.
Not that I thought Jones was great (I thought it was mutually beneficial when he left), but an NCAA tournament game against a known basketball commodity with the crowd on your side as the role of underdog would be pretty sweet again.
Agreed that our staff seems to be "picking their spots" when it comes to transfers - bringing in a few to fill holes, but not trying to turnover a large portion of the roster (thankfully, because that would mean major recruiting problems).

Picture shows him with Pat Sweeney, as I had remembered.
If defensive improvements have been made through recruiting and the transfer portal, and offensive production does not drop off, this is a real possibility.

1. Thank you, Jacks. I was not impressed with your conduct in GF, but you were the lesser evil.
2. This game should have been the semifinal.
3. Let’s have the next MVFC team to win a natty be the University of North Dakota.
I hear ya. That's why I figure GF would have to be the "Junior" host city, with Winnipeg being the primary host city. Moncton, NB population is 79k, so not much different than GF. Hockey enthusiasm would be on par, perhaps better in GF.
It's the way it should be. Even if we had hosted by a higher bid this year, I would still say that. I like the direction this is heading. Looks like the egregious error made by a few on the committee will have a positive outcome.
