    2018 Season

I thought the same thing. Will Holm’s play be a defining moment in the history of UND football, like mooney’s was? I hope so.

    Her setter dumps are useless.

    2018 Season

Very disappointed with setter play, though a lot of it is not her fault. One play of hers in particular stood out to me to today - she reached for the first hit of the defensive sequence.

    2018 Season

This year’s squad isn’t going anywhere. Got to beat your toughest competition when you play them at home, and they failed to do that against Denver and South Dakota. Hope we got some recruits coming in the pipeline, cuz we are talent deficient compared to what we’re used to.
  5. And what a statement it was!! Ye-ahs!
  6. Got a game day walk up ticket at the 50 yard line (ok, technically the 49, but who’s counting?!)
  7. Absolutely.

    Day By Day

C'mon, man! I don't know that much about football, but you have to give me a little credit! I was wondering what he was actually saying. I thought he cursed pretty badly, so I re-listened to it. Still couldn't understand what he said.
  9. I'll be part of the walk-up crowd tomorrow!! Excited for a loud atmosphere that I fully intend to participate in.

What is Rudy saying at 7:30?
  11. Hate to be a Negative Nancy and Debbie Downer, but this part worries me too. They seem to disappoint just at worst possible time.

    On to the Griz

I wish I were as confident as people here! I plan to be there making noise.

    2018 Season

Their defense HAS to improve if that is going to happen. Our setter is running around all over the place, often making bump sets behind her back. She was visibly exhausted in the 4th set on Sunday. It all starts with defense. We are missing a lot of blocks. That makes the bump more erratic, and the setter has to run to play that, and not get an ideal set. Without a good set, we cannot attack forcefully and accurately. That is no formula for a successful offensive attack. A lot of it comes down to youth and inexperience, which can improve throughout the season, as you allude to. But, we also talent deficient compared to years past as well.
  14. And PSU is Team of the Week.
  15. http://www.fcs.football/fcsfront.asp Weber St. at #13, SHSU at #15, Montana at #22, ISU increased their votes received, and NAU is receiving votes also.

    2018 Season

This team is a middle of the pack Summit League team. In other words, not very good.
  17. Agreed.
  18. If we beat Montana and/or Weber St., and have a 7-4 record, that means we've lost to at least one (and possibly two) teams that aren't making the playoffs (Sac St., Idaho, Portland St., Northern Arizona). I don't know if it'll be enough in the committee's eyes. We may as well just go 8-3 or 9-2 and not have to worry about it!
  19. I agree - 7-4 and we will not be a playoff team. Need at least one more win. May as well make it two more.
  20. http://www.collegesportsmadness.com/fcs-football/bracketology Outside looking in here, too. Need to step up when the moment counts.
  21. http://www.fcs.football/fcsfront.asp Still on the outside looking in. Opportunity awaits, though. Idaho State increased their votes received.
  22. Bad penalties, but good way to respond from last week by routing a bad team on the road. This team is still capable of making noise.

    2018 Season

UND is not playing very good volleyball right now, but at least they’ve found ways to survive against inferior teams. If they keep playing like this, teams like Denver or South Dakota are going to rout us. We’re just a little too young and too inexperienced to climb to the top of the Summit this year. (A lot like our first year in the Big Sky).

    On To UNC

After watching the Vikings debacle yesterday, it made me feel a little bit better - good teams can have bad games, even at home. While it would have been nice to have the Homecoming/Potato Bowl/Biggest crowd of the season feather in the cap, the season is not lost. Not sure what the end goal of this season is (depends on who you ask, I suppose), but some of the goals are definitely achievable.
