They has their backup in and we only scored on a 5x3?
-
That’s not on the coach. Plays have to play. Unless he had some big coaching blunder. I didn’t watch the game.

Getting swept 2 of the last 3 weekends doesn’t seem like a squad ready to hit the ploffs. But we swept UMD.

Not sure what team I’m watching. Really inconsistent. Expectations have changed a bit for me. Super good teams aren’t this inconsistent. Sweeps can’t happen at this time of the year. Luck will be needed.

Raw but super good. He was at the 40 man camp last year so he’s a known commodity. I think folks are trying to figure out if he’s leaning football or hockey.
-
Very boring game. They didn’t come to play tonight. Agree that they didn’t play until the final 4 minutes. Zero sense of urgency during the third.

Boy was that disappointing. Super boring.

	Terrible stream again.

Wonder what it would take to flip Shaugabay

Top 3 09 in NA. Guessing gophers

I still haven’t really watched him play that much. There must be a reason.

Completely agree. Stats aren’t everything but I don’t see how Klee is even close. His numbers are ok…if he was a dman.

Minnesota State HS Hockey Tournament 2024scpa0305 replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Non-collegiate sports I will say a ton of Tonka’s shots were from the perimeter…and they were playing fairly selfish hockey. But you’re right, we was solid that game and when there was a point blank shot he stopped it. He’ll play D1 for sure

Minnesota State HS Hockey Tournament 2024scpa0305 replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Non-collegiate sports Chan is actually really good. I don’t think they’ll beat Edina…but it’s a bit closer than you think. Edina is deeper but with the TV timeouts, Chan will play that top line a ton. Also, Chan has the best goalie in the state. That too matters.

The Lund dman out of Warroad. I’ve tracked him for a while and he always put up very good stats for a dman. He’s also listed at 6’3”. Im assuming he has D1 offers but I never hear anyone talk about him. There’s obviously a difference between stats and the “eye test”. Either he’s sitting on offers quietly or it’s a factor of him being huge, playing a ton (in Warroad), and the fact it’s HS hockey (especially single A hockey).

Their team isn’t as good. The past few years they were stacked.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Seasonscpa0305 replied to AlphaMikeFoxtrot's topic in Men's Hockey Fine by me. I like his game…plays his role well. Also, he only played a half year during his frosh season.

Nolan Geerdes might be someone the coaches should keep an eye on. Ridiculously skilled. Should play another year of HS and then a yr or 2 of juniors. Could be a super nice overager.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Seasonscpa0305 replied to AlphaMikeFoxtrot's topic in Men's Hockey You are correct, even a stacked team doesn’t guarantee it…but if you don’t need a ton of luck, you better be stacked. Btw i never said a stacked team guarantees anything but a fun team to watch.

2023-24 University of North Dakota Hockey Seasonscpa0305 replied to AlphaMikeFoxtrot's topic in Men's Hockey Tough question. To me this team looks pretty dang good. They have the makings of being a super tough out come tourney time. It really depends who we play and how we play. But the answer will almost always land on no, it wouldn’t be considered a success. There are just so many good teams out there, to win the natty you need a ton of luck or a ridiculously stacked/old team.
