I get it…the foot speed is pretty glaring. I was just saying he needs an extended look. He was solid against DU, we’ll see if it carries over. He was one of the most dominant 16-17 year olds I’ve seen at Shattuck…I had high hopes for him. and…I hope your reverse psychology works

Bingo…he’s had a long leash and he should have because the skill is so obvious. He’s going to be an extremely good college player. But most of his goals came very early in the season and I’ve been noticing more of the head scratching turnovers and he really doesn’t make any high end passes in the ozone. He calls his own number almost every time. I’m assuming the coaches have been running the video by him but i haven’t seen any improvement. It’ll come, just needs to figure out his timing. Hopefully he breaks out this weekend

Tbh Kunz has earned a look in the top 6…he’s also a drafted upperclassman that needs an extended look in the worst way. As much as I like Perron, he’s fighting it a bit. Until his vision improves you might as well put him with grinders. 4 assists the whole year and he’s had a tremendously long leash with a ton of PP time. His shot is good, he’s super quick and shifty…but his decision making is lacking a ton from my angle.

Agreed. If this does pass it’s going to get a lot tougher to play college puck…and we’ll need 15-20 more teams to fill the supply. Tough for the late bloomers. On the flip side..college hockey would get a ton better.

US won the Youth Olympic Games gold. ‘08 birth year. I’m sure we’ll be all over a bunch of these players.

Hopefully he keeps it going. Seems like he can be streaky. Can he play another year of juniors?

Ya that was odd…shocked there actually -
So are we going to catch this game mid second period?
-
Canadians need to develop a non CHL league to compete with the USHL. They are losing a lot of their high end kids coming to the US to play. Rather than their home Junior leagues
-
He’s good but probably should be considered a sophomore…has to be the oldest frosh in the state
-
Lukas Sawchyn commits to DU…that’s a pretty big one. High WHL flight risk though.

We were clearly the better teams. But giving up the PP’s. Taking terrible ozone penalties…not back checking. This team is missing the old “attention to details” element. It’s almost as if some players are chasing pts a bit hard and forgetting that the goal is to win the game. That’s what I took away from last nights game. For as good as Blake is, he can play a bit too selfish a good amount of the time.

Boys need to figure it out starting tonight. If they would have played like crap that one thing. But the way they lost last night was tough. Tendy was very avg and the team D was brutal.
-
We shall see.

He was solid later in juniors too. I believe he lead the ushl in pts his last year.
-
Tough loss. Boys are in a funk
-
Still salty about the morrow deal…and rizzo….and the guy that went to OSU.
-
I’m next to certain, that Zellers and his advisors want him to play a year in the ushl. Taking more of a slower development path. It’s worked for him so far. He’s an April birthday so a bit young for a senior. No issues with that tbh

I feel like Berrys kid will commit somewhere like St Thomas
-
The only kid I don’t care where (or if) he is drafted is Swanson. That kid fills it.

In this day and age…we’d get taken out behind the woodshed

He’s really never played. I mean, I guess I’m not overly disappointed he left. But I’m not oblivious to fact his only minutes were 4 line minutes. -

In his defense, he was buried on the 4th line when he did play and didn’t touch the PP. Now, I’m not saying he should have a different role (based on practice results), just stating the obvious. Tough to do much on a bottom line. Tough deal all around because he’ll, most likely, be a solid college player at point. -

The guy had 64 in 60 last year, probably just wants to play. He most likely feels he’s getting slighted and he has the option of going elsewhere. Opens up a spot for us I suppose. I don’t fault the player the least bit, curious how this will impact recruiting going forward. I think this situation will happen a ton moving forward. -

I agree slightly. The idea used to be a combination of blue chips/really good true freshman and overagers. Now I’m wondering if it’s blue chips, transfers and then guys who know they won’t play and they’re fine with that. Younger skaters who are on the bubble will just go elsewhere in search of more PT
