  1. Still curious how Isaac Johnson (DM) hasn't committed anywhere yet. He must be on Bub's radar.
  2. Maybe you should also take into account his age (and the way he plays). You see....when players get older....their stats tend to decrease over time. Especially when said player plays an aggressive style and they aren't built for that style physically. They may even miss a handful of games here and there due to injury. Also, Parise made it to the cup finals 1 time in NJ...in his prime. One more time than the Wild. You make it sound as though he was there every other year while in NJ.
  3. I'm not a huge Wild however your comment is straight out of right field.
  4. I've also heard this as well. Not sure how the Wild would absorb his cap hit though....even assuming he'd take a hometown discount.
  5. Curious what the injury is. He's pretty much been our since the World Junior A Challenge....which was mid December. It must be really bad.
  6. I don't think it's all his skating because I don't believe he's that bad of a skater (I've seen worse), I think it's more his positioning and the fact it takes him forever to get it off (release is very slow). As I've said before, I really wish these guys would hang around and try to crack the lineup as an upperclassman. I get he's getting some push back because he isn't playing, but the writing is on the wall. If he cant crack UND's lineup, there is a minuscule chance he does anything after college playing hockey.
  7. Whoops, didnt initially see Johnson in your listing.
  8. Agreed. I'm just shocked that a guy as good as Kiersted would risk sitting. Must be a smart kid and see the bigger picture. Get in the program and train. Also, Johnson has to be a close lock don't you think? He was pretty solid in that BU game if I remember and has decent size. The one thing that both Bast and Kiersted bring is a higher end o game. I do like our core for next year though. Entire team actually.
  9. Agreed no way chartrand even sniffs a game. But excluding chartrand, who sits? All our current guys developed nicely as the year went on and bast and kiersted are pretty dang talented.
  10. Kiersted coming in too? How many D do we have total now, 9?
  11. No, I was agreeing with you. But I'll bite and say Wilkie starts before Gornall or smith. But obviously wilkie would have to be much more productive in a top 6 role or learn how to play a bottom six role.
  12. That stinks.....unless he stays the same at CC. Like I've always said. College puck can be tough, sometimes you need a year or two to feel it out. On the flip side, the four you listed all need to play from day one, so someone would have to sit.
  13. I don't believe so. But as I mentioned, it's over now. If it were my (educated guess), it was a culture thing.
  14. Does anyone "really" know how big Grant Johnson is? He seemed to put up ridiculous numbers in ND high school hockey while also putting up good numbers in the fall Elite league. I'm shocked he wasn't a higher USHL draft pick. I wonder if his listed size is a stretch.
  15. Bingo, this is partly on the coaches/team. I get why the coaches did it, but Tomek clearly needed more time in juniors. This whole situation was mishandled.
  16. No way. But it's over, so it is what it is.
  17. You're right...i remember that now.
  18. I've never seen that. But it would be a great idea (for him) as long as there were no hurt feelings along the way.
  19. I also agree with that statement however too much has happened to him here. They probably need a split. Tomek needs to play.
  20. Agreed. Thome will only play if Cam is injured however.
  21. It was a joke. Long off season.
  22. I follow the US development teams and they seem to be more filled with MICH, BU and BC teams over the past 4-5 years. Not that it's a problem, it's just something I've noticed. In the early to mid 2000's we (and MN) were the teams those kids were going to. It could be the regions these kids are developing in as well.
  23. Ha. In all reality, teams like BU and BC (plus some other East coast teams) seem to be getting more high enders than we do. We counter that with over agers who do well in juniors.
  24. All I said was that DU would be good.
