Agreed. At the the day I thought this team played well both nights, but when looking at it, Friday they were still torched by defensive lapses and last night they still coughed up a two goal lead heading into the third (which should NEVER happen). This still still scares me.

Agree with a lot of what you say and I too think they have a chance to make a little run given they have all their guys healthy. But three of those games (Omaha and Miami) were against putrid defenses and we looked about as bad as a college team gets.

One of the best games of the year for these guys. When the boys play like this they are tough to beat. They just rarely play like this :).

Und had one on Borgan late in the game ( after he had gave a verbal to scsu). I guess he almost flipped but stuck to his word

I talked to a guy from up there and he says the same thing. Kid has an unbelievable shot and slick hands but doesn’t have a motor for being a smaller kid, that can hurt as you move on from HS

It’s been that type of season. Not only do they lack skill and effort (most nights), they also are not very opportunistic.

They’ve been winning more recently though. Borgan, poehling, Ahcan, Jackson, lizotte, etc respectfully motzcos name is the big recruiting pull. He was the head recruiter for the gophs for a number of years (natty years). He pulled vanek there, I know that.

Motzco is a heck of a recruiter. The city is below avg and the facilities are not even close the great, but over time he’s found a way to lure in not only the skilled players but now some high enders as well. Deserves props. Coaching the U20 teams has to increase in recruiting a ton.

Agreed. Criticism is warranted at this point as this team should be much better (for a plethora of reasons) however several on this board go way too far. I’d be curious to know if these folks actually played the game at any respectable level.

Yeah maybe. Tough to watch this all unfold. At this time of year you’re usually moving 1 guy in and out of the lineup...we’ve been having wholesale changes weekly. No way you can lock down chemistry like that. Either way...I say the Sioux boys win 5-3 tonight...empty netter.

Agreed Adams should be in over Johnson at forward. Berry’s probably thinking Adams can’t play a bottom 6 role. I don’t really have a probably with yon playing, good skater and a heavy shot. What’s the deal with Bowen? He’s never been an offensive player but he was always useful on the pk.
