  1. Well you never know how kids develop from 14-18. He dominated bantams as a first year but he was also a very old first year. He’s a big kid with skill. Those types of plays should continue to progress however he may struggle with the rest of the kids “catching up” from a maturity standpoint. Either way, he’s elite but after being cut from the development program we’ll have to see if he makes the all star team in this event. All things considered, this is only one week out of the year.
  2. Not sure. Appears small but is doing good this weekend.
  3. Yeah kunz is struggling. On the other side, GF kid Dane Montgomery is doing really well, 6 goals in 5 games. Tied for the camp lead at the moment. Both Kunz and Montgomery are listed as “undecided” as far as where they will play next year.
  4. I noticed that too. Interesting he was Hockey Canada last year now he’s USA. You don’t see a ton of kids leaving Penticton, but game in and game out the USHL is a much tougher league. Maybe better for his development as a defensemen.
  5. Yeah, oilers gave him every opportunity the last two year. He went through his sophomore slump last year. See how he does this year. He wasn’t all that great his first two years of college either.
  6. I’ve seen him play too, very very good.
  7. Miller, mancellini and Reid all made the Hlinka team.
  8. Schmaltz was our only other commit there correct?
  9. Yeah Adams. He needs to play, id put him on line 1-2 to start the year.
  10. If he’s not top 9 with pp minutes he’s not on the ice.
  11. I think the junior class will pick it up a bit. I could see a guy like hoff step up. Also, Colton poolman has been nice. And we’re were supposed to have Jost for his sophomore year, I’m guessing he would have done some damage had he stayed.
  12. Haha that’s the first thing I was thinking. I believe BC and UM have missed though.
  13. Anyone have any info on which UND players are at development camps? I’ve heard about pool man and Cole smith. I would think nick jones would get an invite after the year he had last year.
  14. His tenure more like in and out
  15. I wouldn’t call them mid level players. Typically they are players very good at what they do (grinding, penalty kill, etc). Many times these types of players put up big numbers in a junior league however are more mid range at the college level. Still good players though, sometimes these types of players even crack the nhl serving that same role...because they are elite at it.
  16. Bingo.
  17. You’re too focused on a term :). The term blue chip is from an NHL perspective not a college prospect perspective. There can be many awesome college hockey prospects who are not considered blue chips.
  18. That’s why I said a blend of high enders and role players
  19. A team can’t have 4-5 blue chip 18 year olds and that’s it. Not in today’s college hockey. Need to have a blend of blue chips/higher end players and some overage grind players that wear a team down. Look at the last three national champions.
  20. Hain is one of the rare cases that leaves MN HS Hockey to play for the NTDP and his draft stock is crushed
  21. Weatherby in the 4th to the sharks...knew he’d go early
  22. Who’s worried?
  23. I was watching the draft, I was almost positive we were going to hear Tychonicks name second to last or last in the first. With all those dmen going I was shocked he wasn’t picked. I’m guessing they’ll be a string of Fs going early in the second. Congrats to JBD though! What is story with Wilde not going yet? Kid was a lotto pick 3 months ago. Both him and Blake McLaughlin both have CHL rumors, both were not invited (shockingly) to USAs summer u20 eval camp, and both just slipped out of the first. Although many scouts did have McLaughlin slipping out of the first.
  24. Good deal
