  1. I agree with most of what you post. But I truly think it’s a system problem. On most nights we have more talent than the other team. I mean we have really skilled guys who aren’t doing anything. Obviously we do have a few guys who will never be offensively productive but in the other end, we have some guys who should be a lot better.
  2. I agree as well. You don’t hang with all these good teams if our team is full of scrubs. They have to get more creative in the ozone. Sacrifice some shots for some more creativity. Overpassing can be a problem for some skilled teams....not this one though. Also, they have serious confidence issues.
  3. 1–3 points
  4. I get your point, but 25-30 points is a stretch. That was be awesome. What is ward doing for Omaha, he enever came close to putting up the kind of numbers those two boys did.
  5. Great post. This team is very tough to watch given the lack of offense. Made it through the first last night.
  6. I watched the game. Everything starts at the point when it should be the other way around. 90% of those closer shots result after the defensive player already has taken the perimeter shot. Either one of our forward scrambled to retrieve it and fire something on net. It’s not a “quality scoring chance”. Name me one time the forwards were able to create something themselves that didn’t appear to be 4th line grind material. Any backdoor passes? Creating space and finding an open forward in the slot? Never. When the forwards get the puck they only look to get it back for a perimeter shot. 100% of the time. we had a couple scoring opportunities last night. Should have more than a couple every period.
  7. From where? Our only shots originate from the point. Zero cycling and containment down low. This team will never see a goal with all three forwards in on it. as I’ve mentioned too many times, when we have the puck in the ozone the first, second, and third option is going out to the point for a perimeter shot. That play is supposed to be used as an outlet...to catch the Dzone players sleeping. Our boys only do that. It’s like running a play action in football every play. DU knew none of our forwards would even attempt to beat them low.
  8. Has to be the worst statistical (offensive) team of all time.
  9. Only 5th because he came in late. He shredded that year. One could argue he went into college hockey too early the first time.
  10. U actually think Donovan is going to do something in college hockey next year? Outside of the layup games he has in HS he hasn’t done much. I strongly doubt he’s going to walk into college hockey (never playing a season of junior hockey) and be a key player.
  11. Our forwards have to start creating offense
  12. Zero “quality” shots since the first half of the first. Such a boring team to watch.
  13. What corner?
  14. Dominate the first few minutes, could have 1-2 goals. Denver gets a chance and finishes.
  15. Boy this team is all sorts of messed up.
  16. I doubt he's eligible or even has interest. He would be committed already if he was interested.
  17. he doesn't play JV
  18. Agreed. It’ll take a few classes to get this thing back on track
  19. Sure, but he still screwed up. Players do screw up and he did.
  20. When you lay down to better teams they’ll always catch you. Tough loss
  21. Wisco is going to start taking over here pretty soon. Good looking team right now, phenomenal recruits coming in the next few years
  22. Scheels gonna want that one back. Boys need to figure out how to score. This is (much) worse than watching the wild. Something needs to change.
  23. Agreed should be 1-1. Boys look like they want to win 1-0. Seen this before
  24. Sweep...are you kidding me?
