I'm giving the guy until the end of the season (no that it matters) but Im starting to wonder if he's a better assistant. Won the natty with a very talented team (Hak's team), then got bad beat by BU (that was still a drama filled year), last year was terrible, and this year feels worse so far. There is a trend. Unless of course one blames it on the recruiting drop from changing coaches. Tough call.

Just took another look at our players stats page....has to be the worst in history.
-
This team lacks so much skill and effort. They’ll win some games against some good teams....but they’re bad. If they miss the NCAAs this year, the program should explore all options.
-
Cannot. Lose. This. Game.
-
They didn’t have fight nor any bit of confidence last year.
-
We’re going blow for blow with these guys. I can’t reallt tell who’s better. Going from the WJC back to our squad....the lack of skill is astonishing. To win, we basically to get up by a goal or two and grind out wins. Ugh
-
I honestly think the boys are so concerned with systems that they can’t play with skill. How do you dominate on two pks but can barely play 5x5 and definitely can’t set up a pp.
-
The boys are so concerned with dump and chase, they have tons of room to carry the puck and play open hockey. It’s like they can’t see it
-
This is beyond tough to watch
-
So one of these games huh, 7 SOG against a bottom 3 team in the country....makes sense.
-
Looks like JV hockey

Boy need to wake up a bit.

Mine works great, audio is from the mid 90s.
-
I cant even open the Sacred Heart VT game.
-
Nope I can't even get in
-
It's January 3 and GFC and GFRR HS teams have each played 7 total games... 7.
-
Haha they don't even have a 25 year old on their team. But point taken.
-
I know right?!? I have watched every game and as much as I am blown away by his skating and vision, it seems as though he is constantly making mistakes (some which has cost the team big time).
-
I'm sure there is some sort of draft. The MJ is definitely a lower Canadian junior A league so it would be easier for local kids to make the team. But I'm sure they'll have a ton of competition with Twin City kids trying out as well. I saw the regions they can pick from and it's pretty vast. Sure, kid could get traded.
-
Sure, but the kids would have to be good enough. It's not like this team will be full of GF kids. Not saying you were insinuating this, but I've spoken to some folks who think the entire team will be GF kids. The MJ is a normal Junior A league, given ND HS hockey is set up so odd, kids cannot go back and forth.
-
Still think Kunz will be decent. I watched him in the Elite league and he was solid. He's a big kid that still needs to catch up speed-wise but he is very talented.
-
BC - Ya, I was trying to kind of be nice. He definitely was one who should have went to the NA prior to going to the USHL. The jump from ND HS hockey to the USHL is light years. Manc. - True but he didn't receive a ton of playing time at the IH and he has fallen off almost all scout rankings. Stratton - Agreed. He was kind of talked about as being that diamond in the rough kind of guy. Late bloomer. Still obviously has tons of time and his numbers aren't garbage. But I thought he would be doing more of what Weatherby was doing last year.
-
I think I saw Montgomery with more current stats....he had good numbers. Kids like Costello and Mancinelli have really taken a step back. Stratton was another kid who was supposed to tear up of the BC this year. 6 goals in 37 games, not great. I believe I remember his coach stating he expected him to be in the mid 80s this year.
-
The difference between junior hockey and ND high school hockey is huge. I still believe GF (and other higher end kids) will end up playing tier 1. GF should have explored that option....or at least got serious about it.

curious what the story is with Bowen.
