  1. I know Grant and have went to Sioux games with him when he was in high school. He and his family were Sioux fans. From my understanding UND wasn't interested in him but Minnesota was otherwise he would have played for UND.
  2. Was Rylan Schwartz held off the scoring sheet last night?
  3. I do agree that it is not something you want to always have to count on the second half run because it will end at some point. I think I for the most part am disappointed in the play of our upper-class men ie. Juniors and Seniors. I don't want to start naming players individually but they have been listed by others. To have to rely on our Freshman and Sophomores to shoulder most of the scoring, all though great development for them, it is not a recipe for success short term IMO. I am sure the boys will right the ship and although last night was a loss it was a good step in their play.
  4. Thanks for the updates guys/gals!
  5. RIT has a pretty good goalie. The girls were putting shots on net and some real good scoring chances but the RIT goaltender did a good job. It probably could have been a 6-2 or more game if not for her.
  6. I am most excited about Murphy. He seems like a real good player.
  7. Although hopefully not a trend we have had bad luck lately with kids of NHLers committing and then De-committing ie. Lemiuex and Matteau
  8. Joking aside, I am very intrigued by BigFoot and it is something that has fascinated me since childhood watching the famous Patterson-Gimlin film.
  9. What are your thoughts on the goalies? Does this solidify Saunders as the starter or should Hak keep up the the rotation? I am kind of thinking Saunders should now be named starter. Nothing against Gothberg he is a good goalie but just needs a little more work.
  10. I try not to be critical of the refs but they were pretty bad tonight.
  11. Regardless of how Notre Dame is doing this year they aren't what I would call a powerhouse. BC has had great success in the last 10 yrs or so. So yeah a majority of teams you will schedule will be of the cupcake nature and you won't leave MSP if at all possible.
  12. He is now VP of Finance for the Memphis Grizzlies. I can assure you he was not forced out.
  13. I thought I heard that he hurt his shoulder or some upper body injury and it was not the ankle/leg again.
  14. And our favorite JT Miller, he now plays in the AHL for the Connecticut Whale. In 14 games he has 2 goals and 4 assists and is a -1. He has 6 PIM. http://www.ctwhale.com/team/player-stats It's just interesting to see how these guys are doing even though they bailed on us.
  15. He is now listed as playing 5 games with 2 goals and 0 assists for a +1. He does have 2 PIM http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/show/type/skaters
  16. He is out tonight and i thought I heard he hurt his shoulder last night so different than his ankle.
  17. I thought our offense was good enough to win but boy does our defense need work. I know it is a work in progress but putting up that many shots does not = good defensive play. Berry has his work cut out for him and I am sure he will get it under control.
  18. I think the last 5 to 10 years though UND has certainly gotten the better of them no question. I know last year they did win a majority of the games we played against them. However we have ended their season a couple of times and have swept them out of our building in pretty convincing fashion. To me they are just looking to play soft teams to pad their stats to ensure they make the tournament every year. We all know Minnesota doesn't like to leave their home rink so they are going to schedule as many cupcakes at home as possible.Ultimately it doesn't pay to play sub par teams and the fans will be the ones losing out.
  19. Not a recruit any longer but Brendan Lemieux has played 2 games for Barrie and has 0 points and is a - 1.
  20. If Trouba hits like that in the NHL he better learn how to fight. The other teams tough guys will be looking to settle things the old fashioned way. When I saw the hit it looked illegal as he hit the guys head with his elbow. Apparently others think differently.
  21. Well I guess we will just have to show him he choose the wrong team.
  22. I am sure he will list them and perhaps waits now until they sign their LOI. I know with two of the three players you list they have publicly admitted they committed so I would take their word over Heisenberg's anyday.
  23. It looks like Brendan Lemieux has removed committed to the Fighting Sioux from his twitter profile along with #22 for the Gamblers. I would say he is as good as gone. I have no respect for people who don't honor their word. Even if they are some 16 yr old. I unfollowed him from twitter and I feel better about it.
  24. Wow was that a disappointing 3rd period and our defense is still not quite there yet. This was a game UND could have and probably should have won.
  25. When the band is not there it really does suffer. What a shame that for the women's hockey team during rivalry week with Minnesota the band was out of town. You could really notice the difference at both men's and women's games that the band was missing. I am also finding it hard to drop fighting Sioux for UND in most cheers as UND just doesn't sound right. I am sure it will just take some time.
