Jesus Christ himself couldn't have caught that duck Bartels heaved up tonight. The best WR today was not Hardin. He was maybe our 3rd best. I didn't criticize Bartels for last week really. He made rookie mistakes like Joe did. Joe made some rookie mistakes tonight. The difference is that Joe is more capable than Ryan to make plays when the line is as bad as it is and that is a fact.

Based off this post you are not painting the full picture of how he actually played along with the external variables. You may be pissed about the game but he's still the guy. Bartels would have been sacks 10 times today with that protection.
-
Anyone think we should try and find some good JUCO defensive guys and FBS transfers to beef up the D for the next season?
-
Bartels looked better? I'd stick with Joe. He made some good plays given the oline play. It's hard to make good throws when you can't set your feet alot of the time.
-
I like the way Kotelnicki calls games better. He's more aggressive. I just wonder how long it will take us to find more DBs like Darryl Brown and hopefully Kuksa and Reyes are the answers at safety.

You can't make chicken soup from chicken sh1t

That's alot of coin for a trophy shaped like a hotel.

And yet the football team owns the most recent national title. Hak doesn't walk on water. The program recruits itself he should get more out of it.
-
I will start a riot if we lose to them.
-
Key word is lose.
-
Everyone should watch Blair Townsends post game comments. There's a reason he's a captain. The team needs to come together.
-
So we'd win the conference and lose first round of the playoffs?
-
I'm not sure he's a head coaching type. Probably more of a coordinator. Great guy though.
-
Who knows. Since we haven't been ranked more than 1 or 2 times losses to us carry alot of weight in dropping poll position. It's kind of a self defeating thing.
-
That's right. Worse than the defense was today. Worse than the unit that had one stop. What I don't get is that we have at least 3 legit OL. Kleason Anderson and Walker are all good. I've never been impressed with Denui. I don't get why they haven't been better. Kleason was awesome last year when he came back and this year he looks like a bum.

South Dakota was ranked in 2011 when we beat them. Southern Utah was also ranked that year 19th when we whooped them on the road. I get what you're saying but again, facts, try and use them.

Anyone notice how Big Sky officials are just awful? I'm not claiming they cost us the game since that would be ludicrous, but I've yet to see a Big Sky game where the officials didn't blow multiple obvious calls. Also, anyone notice how good Shaugabay looked when he got the ball? He needs to start. Finally. The offensive line. They were pathetic. Is this the new OL coaches fault? Mussmans fault? The players fault? Schleusners fault? Who knows. Either way, they were the worst I've ever seen at UND today. They couldn't run block and they certainly couldn't give our QBs enough time. They are the #1 weakness of the team by far. Yes, worse than the defense.

The bottom is Idaho St. Don't get ahead of yourself.

Nothing to explain here. They're gonna need a real come to Jesus moment to save this season. We could've been +4 in the turnover margin and still lost this game by double digits. I usually don't get a headache from a football game but this one gave me one just after halftime. That was completely pathetic. Man to man they wanted it more across the board. Greg Hardin turned in an unacceptable performance. If he wants to play on Sundays he's gonna have to show some heart and leadership instead of moping around the field like a brat. That goes for more than just Hardin but as a senior and probably our best player it was most noticeable from him. There is nothing to defend in this game.

Mussman was a captain and starting center at Iowa State.
-
His pops played FBS. We may not be able to get him by the time he's done. How about his older son? He won't put up good numbers since his team is awful but he's a good athlete.

I have a hard time believing that Montana has a more nasty offensive line than SDSU. They may be bigger but those SDSU lines play with a mean streak that I didn't see from Montanas last year. Montana has the same OL, we'll see if they're much improved.
-
If they can smash out offense into the fetal position more power to them. I just want to hear some popping. At least a few bone crushing hits. Maybe a good one on kickoff coverage.
-
Sounds weird but I'm looking forward to watching Montanas punter. He's the real deal. A big boy with a Howitzer of a leg.
