It has to be highlighted that they played a D2 team Idaho St and Wash St. Their rushing d stats are skewed as the teams they've played didn't exactly try to run the ball. The per carry average is right where we are.
-
Early 2000s Baltimore style. Our defense and run game will continue to win games. Our passing game hopefully will exist at some point. And no, passing on Drake did not count for !@#$.
-
I think we can win the rest of our games. The only team I think we'd have no chance against in the Big Sky is EWU. Since we don't play them I think we have a shot at every team. Obviously the chances of running the table are beyond slim but I don't see any sure losses on our schedule like I used to.

We had Adler streaking up the seam wide open in the second quarter. Studsrud didn't even give him a look. It's things like that that make me not trust him, and the constant fumbles. We are 3-1 despite him, he's just been along for the ride other than the WYO game.
-
From what I've seen Studrud is just not good enough at throwing the ball. His running isn't nearly good enough to offset it either. He is holding the offense back.
-
I've never felt worse about being 3-1

If we want to move forward as a program we need to start kicking ass. The players on both sides of the ball need to be nasty. It has to be a need to win not a want. That's what I'm looking for from this team. Do they want to win or do they need to destroy every team they play. It's a change in mentality that will propel to the next level.
-
You won't run the ball effectively against our front 7. I think the key for your team will be getting the ball off in time on passing plays. We're going to have guys crashing in on your qb, if he can hang in there you guys could have success against our suspect pass d.
-
Yes, yes I know.
-
Screw it, the ground game rolls behind the Gravy Train and Matt "Big" Cox and we catch a couple passes on d, we pound them 37- 9.
-
I don't follow. Our look a like thread beat their look a like thread. If our team was as good as us they'd be undefeated like us.
-
Is he even still coming here?

All aboard the Grady Train?

Nodak isn't a tribe. Not the same

In the above video I noticed multiple times where out fast FR rbs missed holes for good gains and ran into the bodies.

UC Davis has a "weak" run defense. If we don't get it going against them this week we have a problem. We need to win this game convincingly to turn the momentum around for this team and get things rolling. Davis isn't a bad team but if we want to be a good team we need to handle our business at home.
-
Nodaks is a slur. No way that should win. Show of hands, who has referred to themself as a Nodak? That's what I thought. It's a term Woog used to use with his distain of our hockey team.
-
It makes me think people need to move on.

To everyone who doesn't want two roughriders in grand forks, why was it not a problem that Central was the Red Skins and UND was the fighting sioux at the same time? Obviously not the same but about as close as can be. I say rough riders because it's the best option left and who cares what Red River goes by.

Our top three sports are hockey football and basketball. We're in a solid hockey only conference so that's irrelevant in the conference discussion. MVFC > Big Sky, by a lot. It also fits our recruiting footprint better and our philosophy better. It's also easier to get people to come and see teams they used to come and see than teams like Sac St Idaho St EWU Weber St and so on, nobody around here cares about or knows about them. Even EWU. Outside of MSU and Montana there is no interest at all. The Summit > BigSky in basketball. The Big Sky is terrible for basketball and also doesn't fit our recruiting. Throw in the money saved on travel and how easy it would be to market familiar opponents and it seems like an obvious choice if there's an opportunity.
-
I would argue promising is a good adjective to use because of how many freshman and soph are starting and contributing.
-
MVFC/Summit combo would boost our athletic department in a huge way. We would have way more fans going on road trips and we would have better home attendance due to familiarity with opponents.
-
The line blocked harder for him and the team as a whole wanted him to stay the starter after Hansen was injured. Mussman lost his team with how he handled that situation.

That offense was better with Hendrickson.
