  1. Was just gonna post on this. He should've stayed.
  2. That's one hell of a question. You'd think he would absolutly have to light the state of Utah on fire out there to make it a controversy. I think that's because of the running qb factor. It seems clear that is a very high priority.
  3. The question is for how long.
  4. If Weber can't pass, which comes down to the qb because they do have some speed at wr, then we will stomp them. Otherwise I'm sure it'll be a good close game.
  5. I wonder if we will see Alex Reed at wr this year.
  6. These are pretty dependent on a handful of injuries to key players. Maybe a with Reyes/Studsrud/Georges pick and a with said players pick. With UND 34 - Weber 13 Without UND 17 - Weber 16
  7. I don't care who or where we play, we need to cause some damn turnovers. With how tight we play games a forced turnover is huge.
  8. A defense can only do so much when the offense goes 3 and out so many times in a row. That leaves no time for adjustments. And we all know that the main factor was that we relied on two run stopping safeties to try and stop an all out passing attack. In the beginning of the game, minus the turnovers, the offense and defense were complimenting each other and we were dominating. Then both the offense and defense shite the bed.
  9. Thanks for the update. One note: Rich is a JR.
  10. Bubba thinks Reyes and Studsrud will be back for this game. It's not 100% but he seemed confident. He said Clive may be back this week but will for sure be back next week.
  11. Not saying Dulin is an NFL player like Kenny, but he's got even more length than Kenny and can run a little bit. He also showed good hands on his HS film. Let's hope he's filling out nicely and getting faster and stronger for next year.
  12. A loss here would mean curtains for playoff hopes. We aren't "supposed" to make them this year anyway but I think it could make the rebuilding project accelerate faster in terms of brining in recruits and rebuilding the reputation of the program if we exceed expectations. We need to get back to being a program with a killer instinct. That means instead of being down after a loss our team is angry and takes it out on the next opponent. Losing programs snowball with bad momentum, good programs recover the next week, great programs are a force to be reckoned with the week after a loss. We need to start being a force after a loss or even a sub par performance. So yea, we need to kick arse this weekend.
  13. The only reason Mollberg didn't start every game last year was an injury.
  14. Exactly. If not then they're basically conceding.
  15. We do need better skill guys and more of them. Another thing that was glaring was 95 for ISU threw our OL around like rag dolls.
  16. You know why? Because he's the best qb we have when he's 100%. Studsrud is the second best qb we have. The way our offense runs and is called, Studsrud has to be the guy. As for Ratelle, he's the best defensive player we've had in about a decade so why would I not be proud of all of his hard work and dedication paying off?
  17. I agree that with the lead we had and being at home that we should have been able to grind that game out with our running game regardless of who was at QB. I also agree greed about the qb. Playing our version of the prevent all game didn't work out clearly. They obviously couldn't run on us, no one can, but it never works to sit back and "cover". It's too easy for a qb to sit back and not worry about a rush.
  18. I fully believe Reyes would have had a couple picks yesterday. Also, I was a little befuddled as to why Harris didn't pick that one pass off early on instead of volleyball spiking it to the ground.
  19. Olivera looks GOOD when he gets the rock. He absoluty man handled some defenders yesterday. It's hard on the defense to go from a shifty Santiago to a powerful and mean Olivera.
  20. With the offense being called the way it is im not sure how Bartels is in front of Mollberg unless he hasn't been cleared for games. It absolutly killed the offense to have Bartels in there because he's passer only and can't escape the rush. In fact he helps out the rush with his poor pocket presence. All of a sudden the d didn't have to respect the qb aspect of the read or fake. That is why we couldn't move the ball aside from the lack of timing and chemistry between Bartels and the offense. He just doesn't fit what they're doing at all. Mollberg would fit better but still not fully. Bottom line, we win that game if Studrud isn't hurt. What's worse is it shouldn't come down to that.
  21. It's a horrible loss. We gave them 3 turnovers in the first half, otherwise we smoke them. Any time you let a team with an explosive offense hang around it's dangerous because as we saw they can explode at any time.
  22. Nobody was open on that play and we all know Bartels wasn't making the 6 yards on the ground.
  23. We lost the 4th quarter 15-0........ 15-0 at home......
  24. It has to be pointed out that ISU has a very good offense. They aren't good because their defense sucks. Our offense isn't explosive enough on the outside to exploit them the way others have this year. We need Clive and his speed.
