My thought is even if he’s not ready to run the full offense you give him a handful of routes and put him in every time in the red zone at least. This is where coaches earn their keep. People use the term different way too much but this kid actually is.

I have. Very small sample size but I saw enough to know what he’s capable of now and what he could possibly develop into. He might end up tough to hang on to if things work out for him developmentally.

If I’m a coach I’d honestly keep Deng Deng home for the FBS game. Don’t need those guys seeing him try out live.

I thought about them but each had a down year when we played them. Respectable teams but not good for legit P5 teams which ISU could end up being this year based on returning production. Doesn’t mean they’re unbeatable by any means though.

There are no LBs within 10 lbs of 250. It’s more like 20 at least on average. Have you ever put on 20 lbs of muscle? Huge difference.

The DEs aren’t big enough but they certainly aren’t the same size as our LBs

He’s got the best and quickest release. I did not know he could throw that well. My sample size was very small but it was clear from the first throw.
