Keech was a VERY unheralded recruit. Kids huge already and tough as nails.

Some people just have fragile knees and/or are too big and explosive for a normal knee to handle.

It appears he’s added to that

I’d like to think there is no way in hell they played him in 5 games. Has to be an error.

That’s a big number for a junior albeit with pretty rough form. Baukol is gonna fix that. His HS strength coach needs a talking to though, should never clean with straps.

Love it! Some of those runs with him at FB are hilarious. Love how he explodes through contact.

Who does everyone think are the FR posied to contribute this year?

I think Engwall will see a lot of time at nose. Sort of like Woodsmall a few years ago.

Saw James Johannesson today and I feel bad for anyone who has to tackle him this year. That boy big.

We used to struggle recruiting CBs. Now we’re pretty loaded there. We need to make the same progression at OT, NG, S, and QB.

And at least 3 of those 4 who didn’t pan out were massive talents.

Is he still on the roster even?

Not sure he’s even sniffed special teams.

This is why I’ve been highly critical of our coaches for neglecting the rb position for 3 years.

Don’t forget the library. Massive upgrade there as well. Between those three alone the campus gets a huge boost.

Didn’t another DB slide down to LB? CVO or MVJ?

Crazy to think but will we have a 300 yard passing game this year? Not sure Bubba has ever had a qb throw for 300.

I’d say the 2015 team was our most complete team. Took a while for the young guys to figure it out but by the end of the year that team was rolling. 2016 right behind them but no deep threat gives ‘15 the edge for me. I see too many questions right now with this team. Hopefully hindsight says otherwise.

LT is a huge question mark with Mortel and his back issue. We need two legit tackles. We have a bunch of guards but our tackle types haven’t been panning out. Is Waletzko ready to be the guy? What about Russo and Helgren? One of them needs to step up.

Those first three weeks will be very very telling. Week 1: great team to tune up against. Solid but not great team that we should beat handily but will provide better competition than MVSU. Week 2: best defense we will face all year in the toughest environment of the year. If they produce here we’re good. Week 3: opponent loaded with athletes that used to have all sorts of stars. They should be better than last year and hungry for redemption. If we sputter against the AC than this game is where Freund needs to show that he can adjust and make it work with what he’s got. If we can avg around 30ppg in the first 3 I’ll be happy and have my popcorn ready for the rest of the year. If we avg under 20ppg I’ll be looking/hoping it’s just the offense getting broken in. We need that side of the ball to take what the opponent gives it unlike the last few years, which was infuriating. My fingers are crossed, I’m confident in Danny.
