I’m guessing “THEY WERE PULLED OFF THE BANNERS!”

Had the name before the change, and unlike our current hockey players I actually played under the Fighting Sioux nickname.

Out getting historically accurate logos put on them?

At the Alerus we’ve been complaining about no logo at the 50 since the building opened.

I wonder what the fine print from the NCAA would say about that. It seems, just based on how they have been going about things, that they wouldn’t be able to add that lamp to another area because they would have to build new structure to hold it. I’m not sure though.

My issue is that they went so far out of their way to keep one logo that they retrofitted the existing structure of the old scoreboard to avoid having to scrap one more precious. That is just plain nonsensical.

Pretty sure Bubba didn’t “like” it either and would prefer to be Sioux like everyone. However he took a step back a realized that he could make the most of it or make the problem worse.

Brad Berry has shown terrible leadership on this topic. He should take notes from Bubba.

I’ve heard what is thought of the new nickname and logo by the hockey program and they are being dragged kicking and screaming for even an inch of progress towards the new brand.

They’re designating their program as separate. I support UND athletics and the hockey program is becoming more and more like east Germany. It’s old and delusional.

There’s no scab to pick. It’s a gaping wound.

You can’t exactly move on from the Sioux zealots because they are so obnoxious and have a hair trigger.

It not so much the not moving on, it’s the childish way a ton of people are acting about the entire situation.

Replace all the granite floor logos with giant granite Hawk logos.

It’s beyond pathetic at this point.

Too big

At some point the next needs to be made, either into the national elite conversation or out the door.

They’re as reliable as those facebook polls that tell you what kind of pizza you are.

What pisses me off is inaccurate reporting. The source was 24/7 Wall Street, not the Wall Street Journal. Huge difference.

There’s another really really old one that had stripes on the chest even. From the 30s or something like that. That’d be my preference.

I hope it doesn’t come to that.

It’s a nice bonus to have in any defense. But they still need to be able to free up the LBs if they can’t make the play on their own which is pretty typical. Bennett will probably be doubled all year which would help.

That’s not how the defense is supposed to work. LBs need to run free with the beefy DL eating blockers.

They better. That would be sweet. One of those Unis with a million stripes. The uglier the better.
