Hmmmm.... My ears are burnin!!! Must be because I'm the resident GLIAC expert around these parts here. Right now, GVSU is sitting pretty in D2. Plus, we don't really have the facilities on campus to be a D1-AA school, especially for Basketball. We would eather have to build a new gym or completely overhaul the one we have, or play more of our home games in Grand Rapids if we was to make the move to D1-AA. I really don't see us doing that for maybe another 10-15 years maybe. However, the has been some rumors that another GLIAC team has been looking into moving up. Wayne State University in Detroit. The mayor of detroit would probably like to see it I think. They have some fairly nice on campus facilities and pretty close to others as well. Plus, having the extra scholorships would probably help them out a lot in signing more of the Metro Detroit talent. Might help them keep more of those kids local instead of going off to some other college to play ball. Plus, being in Detroit, it would give a conferance access to the media market there. I don't see why Gateway would be all that hot to get them right now however, unless those teams are just looking for somebody to make schedualing easier and to pad their Win columns. Plus, WSU is more of a BB school, so they would probably want an all sport conferance to get into. Thats just my opinion however. Also, Its unlikely to happen, but maybe the NCAA will finally get serious about that attendence rule and start droping D1-A schools back down to D1-AA. With all the big shakeups in the major conferances in D1, there are also some MAC schools out there, that could be out looking for a new conferance as well. Eastern Michigan would be a safe bet as one to go. Its pretty hard to draw a crowd on Saturdays in Ypsi when you got 100,000+ across town watching somebody else.

Cripes guys, no score perdictions?? I hope its a close game. I don't want to be watching the 4th quarter just to see the commersals. I'm thinking Philly in a thriller. 20-17. TO plays. McNabb is the MVP and takes his momma to Disneyworld. I'm not so sure though if they're will be another Wardrobe Malfunction just yet.

I went to bed, and it kinda looks like you should have gone to bed too SMN.

Ummm.... haven't we seen this argement before??
-
Because its pretty much the last football we're going to see for a while, how about we get everybody's Super Bowl picks here. Philadelphia Eagles Vs. New England Patriots. Who's going to win it all??
-
Now, just how would that work Diggler?
-
Now you're just being nit-picky....
-
OOhhhh..... very spiffy looking!!
-
Exactly Cali. If Tech can keep up the intensity and passion that they had against Minneasota, they'll be a dangerous team to face in the Final Five.
-
Diggler, slap MNS punk a$$ around a little and get him back on the horse man.
-
hehehe yeah, I was watching the Tech game. What was up with them knocking the nets off all the time?? Oh well, it does the Monster's heart good to see lowly D2 school like Tech knock off the big ten school like Minneasota. Gives out hope for the rest of us D2's eh???

The only one that really matters is the one at the end right??
-
Just win baby!! And if their's any chance, get the Midwest bracket.

Scholorship reductions are a moot point for a year here in D2. They have been voted on and was defeated by a pretty wide margin. Couldn't you nice NDSU guys find something more constructive with your time than to come here and say how great its going to be in D1-AA and how UND should move up so you guys can play again. How about going out and helping your Athletic Dept. do some fundraising to pay for all the costs you guys are going to encure for the move up to D1-AA.

I wouldn't advocate dropping out of school and go into full time production of these tables, but it looks like they would be a pretty sweet way to pick up a little extra pocket change on the side there.

Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin. Whoopi-Doo!! He's about as important to international politics as the Governer of Kentucky.

I was flipping thru USCHO there on their team rosters, and I happen to notice that there was a lot of D2 schools that also happen to have Hockey as well. Bentley, American International, Mercyhurst(WTF!?! Mercyworst???) Heck, there are 5 GLIAC schools out there that already have a team. And there's quiet a few other D2's out there, so I was just wondering what exactly is the count of colleges that are out there that do have College hockey, but are D2 for other sports like basketball and track? I figure you guys could help me out on this.

That all the good stuff to be angry about was gone.

I just finally got my hands on a copy of the game, thanks to some Pirate from ND here. Thanks again Patrick!! Other than missing the opening kickoff, it was great, and no, I did see were the camera cought me picking my nose there. Just talking to some Sucka about the third quarter I believe. Well, that was about the only real close up were you could really tell it was I. Of course, being big and blue there did make it fairly easy to pick myself out when they was panning the crowd.

Cripes, AA's got enuff of those types eh Poncho. I really couldn't stand the ones that had the brand new Benz or other Luxury car there. Those are just the worst. I cast down the worst hex I can think of them for one born and bred in Michigan. May their children go to Ohio State.

Ya mean to tell me that they don't have baby Fighting Sioux Hockey or Football Jerseys out there? Man, somebody is dropping the ball there. Congrats to the Big Chief on his first little brave.

Hey now, I used to go right by Yost for work. Yost is pretty much a small barn really. And the parking around it is horrible, as it is for most of AA. Its a great venue for HS Hockey, but its kinda surprising that given all the success of the Wolverine's hockey program, and the deep pockets their athletic department has, that they play in there. I doubt the NCAA would let them have a regional there again anyways. Too small a venue.

2005 would be the year to do it if you really want to see a defensive player to win it. GVSU really won't have any big senior offensive players next year, our big star will probably be Astin Martin, but he probably won't have have the name recognition to do it, unless he puts up Gonzo numbers. Langston might be our picked choice one to campain for. Come to think of it, not a whole lot else left in the GLIAC either. About the only other big stars in the GLIAC coming back would be Kyle Kolbe out of Northwood, or Manara from Tech, and who knows how well his knee will hold up. Can you guys think of any guys from the NCC or NSIC that would likely to be up for the award??

Touchdowns. Not knocking Digger in any way, but you simply have to score points to get the HH it seems. I wouldn't mind seeing him win it at all, but its just going to be hard to convince a committee to select a defensive star to be the HH. Harlon Hill
