Bay City, you have my condolences. Yeah, I know how you feel about spreading the Gospel around here in Michigan. You're either a State fan or a Michigan fan, with that token Norte Dame or even worse, OSU person around. If you're not one of those teams, nobody really pays a whole lot of attention to ya, no matter how good you are.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Betty right next to the Ralph? How much would an investment in a few hundred feet of extention cord and cable cost you? I'm sure you could pass a hat around at one of the games and easily be able to get the cash to run everything back to the Ralph, even if you Redneck it all up with duct tape.

Not so, they play NMU in hockey often as its a huge rivalry game between them. And they have a deal with Michigan where they have the Great Lakes Invitational hockey tournament together at the Joe. Often Mich State is there so that would be at least 3 CCHA teams a year for Mich Tech.

Yeah, I could see NMU and MTU leaving the GLIAC. Its a pain for most of the GLIAC to get up there, especially by bus, being that you gotta cross the Mackinac Bridge instead of a more direct shot than what you would get coming from oh say Duluth or elsewear in the NCC. Plus, Ideal travel partners with a big rivalry. Both schools are up to full numbers of rides for football, and I'm sure that those of you in the NCC wouldn't mind playing their hockey teams a little more often perhaps.

Yeah, you could do it, but it just wouldn't be all that great in a football stadium, even if it was a dome. It's something that should be done only for special games, like the Cold War with Michigan-Mich State, and planed out in advance so that both schools have time to rally their fan bases to fill it up. But they should have the Frozen Four in a venue that was built for hockey. It would look better for the TV cameras that way. Also, I believe there was also another outdoor game held sometime in the 70's or 80's in a soccer stadium with the Soviet Red Army team.
