Yes. It's just terrible that und followed the law and, as a university, prioritized academics ahead of athletics, using up all of the funds allotted to them by the state. And doing all of this prior to ndsu, out of desperation to not lose the money, going around the law to use the funding for athletics, was just a huge mistake that should result in multiple heads rolling in grand forks. Duh

Absolutely against the intent of the program, but with Wrigley the "man-in-waiting" to become the next ND governor, I doubt they allow this to get much attention.

You quoted a post from last season. Regardless, coming into this season and knowing it was going to be a rebuilding year, I don't think there's much of a chance he gets fired this year either. The team has played some exciting basketball and some awful basketball, but I still see next season as a pivotal year for Jones. The team won't need to make the NCAAs, but they will need at least a top 5 finish in the Big Sky (not saying I'm satisfied with that placement). That'll buy him one, maybe two more years to do something special with his incoming recruits.
